SAFE SEX AS MORAL AS DRIVING A CAR |
2 in 100 women using condoms will experience an unwanted pregnancy each
year. 2%.*
1 in 100 women using birth control will experience an unwanted
pregnancy each year. 1%.*
The risk if both condoms and birth control are used together is:
2% x 1% or .02 x .01 = .002, or 2 in 10,000, or 1 in 5,000.
There are currently 150 million women in the United States. If every
one of these women uses both condoms and birth control together, 150
million/5,000 = 30,000 unwanted pregnancies each year.
There are currently 40,000 traffic accident fatalities in the U.S. each
year.
Thus, we may conclude, that having safe sex is just as moral as driving
a car.

0.02 x 0.01 = 0.0002.

people using both condoms and birth control are less of a problem then
traffic fatalities, but I don't think that has anything to do with
morality

Things which harm or endanger the sanctity and freedom of others are
immoral in my opinion. Things which don't, aren't. While driving a
car only endangers your own freedom, I'm willing, as an unborn baby to
allow a risk to be taken with my life, a risk that I may be mistakenly
concieved, if when I'm older I'm allowed to take this same risk with
the lives of other unborn babies.
It's possible that some may decide this risk is too great for them, but
most people are driving or riding in cars.

Almost everybody who refers to "moral"
means "what I think that you should do".
