A primary school has been accused of spoiling Christmas for pupils
after a lesson telling them that Santa Claus does not exist.
Children as young as nine were told that only 'small children believe
in Father Christmas'.
Isn't nine a bit old to believe in Santa Claus?
And yesterday their parents criticised teachers for taking the 'magic'
out of the festive period.
What's "magic" about hysterical consumerism anyway?
That consumerism requires workers and workers get paid for their work.
When they get paid they also consume which requires more product and
more workers.
They also pay taxes which are used for the greater good including
helping to support people who can't take care of themselves.
And the more taxpayers a nation has the greater the supply of funds to
do the necessary things.
Do your fellow man a favor...shop til you drop ;-)

Yes, it is. However, it should it be up to the kids themselves to
realize Santa does not exist.

They should have realized before they started believing in Santa -
unless Santa is mommyclaus.

Christmas is about the birth of Christ, Christmas carols, kindness and
love, and Santa and gifts. If you ever have kids (which I
doubt..wouldn't
want to meet them if you did), you be sure to tell them at age four or
five about there being no Santa, no magic of Christmas morning.
They'll

Just a logical point. You stated that she had kids, but you provided
no
other information about them. Lots of people download babies. Lots
of babies grow up to be dysfunctional, screwed-up individuals.
Understand?
Nah. I doubt VERY seriously that if she has kids, they are
well-balanced,
healthy and mentally stable. How the hell could they be with her as

AMEN!
I was talking to a professional counselor about her warped statements
and she told me there is absolutely no evidence that allowing children
to enjoy the Christmas season and to believe in Santa Claus is harmful
to their health. In fact she said that her statements indicate she

i doubt that.
Osprey would have escaped my retorts had he kept his stupid lies to
himself.
about her warped statements and she told me there is absolutely no
evidence that allowing children to enjoy the Christmas season and
to believe in Santa Claus is harmful to their health. In fact she
said that her statements indicate she abuses her children, if she
has any at all. Like you said, they would be angry and bitter.
and that, based on your own words, is a blatant lie.
A "professional counselor" wouldn't say stupid ***** like this.
Aw, supermom says "stupid *****."
Osprey is supermom.? Since when? He can't even manage fatherhood and
then he has the audacity to falsely accuse me of bad parenting.

You obviously didn't experience the magic of Christmas as the
young clunker you were (and still are), which of course explains
the stance/bitterness.
The magic of Christmas is kindness and love; not Santa lies nor what
you receive in gifts.
They'll
probably grow up angry and bitter, just like you. I wouldn't take
anything for my memories of Christmas morning as a kid. Were you
raised by the same kind of screwups that you are, or did you learn it
on your own?
AMEN!

You need a different counselor.
There is absolutely nothing in any thing she has said that indicates
anything but an appreciation for truth and respect for her children.

I don't care what she does with her children. She obviously cares
about what others do with theirs, which is none of her business. But
she is a busybody.
I repeat - there is absolutely nothing wrong with people allowing their

It's fun, it brings memories, it carries on a tradition. There is no
evidence what so ever that it causes harm in children.
If she wants to be a scrooge...so be it. I don't care.

There isn't anything wrong with it so long as nobody is being compelled
to celebrate or believe in it. Hell some people have their own holiday
traditions which absolutely haven't a thing to do with Christmas.
by believing in Santa Clause.
Making your kids believe in something that isn't so is wrong. Don't
like my opinions? Then you can stuff yourself or kill-file me. Your
choice.
I think there is.
It's fun, it brings memories, it carries on a tradition. There is no

The holiday isn't a hoax. Just Santa.
If she wants to be a scrooge...so be it. I don't care.
A Scrooge? I'm generous with my time and money. I just don't believe in
spoiling my kids with material things they are otherwise going to toss
away for the new stuff that comes out next year. What they get in
abundance is my love, respect and affection; and they get all of that
all year round.

Yep, little doubt about it. I've been around the block a few times
and have seen it many times. This "Santa lie" crappola is simply
their Christian hatred showing, that's all. And since they are all
about "truth" (no childhood fantasies), does this also mean that
they don't read to their kids about dragons, fairies, barnyard
animals that can talk, etc. etc.? This is all part of childhood,
and it makes it special.
