This is insane. Nobody has ever heard of this "holiday" but because these
people don't celebrate real holidays, they are forcing the school board to

Rather than add a school holiday for Muslims who were requesting one, a
Florida school board has canceled all religious observances - including Yom

Beg pardon? I've heard of it, and I'm even less involved with Islam than
I am with Christianity.
You try not eating during daylight hours for a solid month. I'm guessing

Sounds fair. Since so many religions have celebrations around Yule, it
makes no sense to cancel that one, however canceling the other
religious holidays makes sense. It will certainly help get them ready
for the real world, where such days are still work days unless you take
vacation days for them.
