SEE, Fellow Republicans? You CAN **Reject** the RRR Cult and WIN!! *BIG* Time!! |
The message rang out loud and clear throughout California,
yesterday.
And it's not as though voters didn't have a viable alternative!
"IT DOESN'T MATTER if the candidate is PRO-Choice and
PRO-equal Rights for Gays!! We REJECT the bigotry of the RRR
cult."
They might just as well have shouted that in unison, verbally,
because that is EXACTLY what today's resounding victory for
personal individual liberties boiled down to.
Gray Davis was governor for five years before he got ousted last
night. It was his lousing up the state's economy that got him the gate.
NOT the fact that he's a Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay-Rights social liberal.
And the proof of that is the fact that Californians just overwhelmingly
replaced him with ANOTHER Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay-Rights social
liberal!
The ONLY *viable* candidate in the race who was NOT a social
liberal was McClintock. As this is written, 98% of precincts have
reported in, and per CNN.com, it's as follows:
Schwarzenegger -- 3,529,388 48%
Bustamante -- 2,373,015 32%
McClintock -- 972,894 13%
ALL Others -- 7%
Our most populous state has just spoken, and the message is
WONDROUSLY encouraging: The RRR cult's values matter more
than the economy to only ONE-SEVENTH of them... at the MOST.
And probably less than that, since some of McClintock's supporters
undoubtedly had other reasons for voting for him... INCLUDING ones
pertaining to the economy.
Fascinatingly, in the field of more than 150 candidates, a *nemesis*
of the RRR cult -- porn king and publisher of Hustler magazine, Larry
Flynt -- garnered another 14,969 votes of people who wanted HIM
more than they wanted McClintock. In that huge field, Flynt actually
came in seventh!!
The clear lesson to ALL who are running for public office, or who
already hold office:
You do NOT need to support the RRR cult's warped
and bigoted, so-called "values" (i.e., their anti-personal
liberties agenda) to WIN. You'll do just FINE if you stand
up for abortion rights, for example, and equal rights for
gays. And as we just saw with Schwarzenegger, you
DON'T have to be the least bit tentative in declaring
that. He made his Pro-Choice and Pro-Gay-Rights
stance known unconditionally and without hesitation,
very publicly, during his campaign. REJECT the
RRR cult's hateful agenda, and do it openly. You can
**win** on the pocketbook issues. ("It **IS** the econ-
omy, stupid.") The RRR cultists have to hate that, but
tough. That's the way it IS. It's time to take our
country BACK from their loathesome influence.
It was a very bad day for the RRR cult.
And any *bad* day for *them* is a GREAT day for *America*!!

Californians like to think they're trend setters but they rarely are.
During the years I lived in California, I seldom had the perception
that we were trend-setting. I've FAR more perceived that during the
years I've lived in the South (VA and FL), the East (NY), and the Midwest
(IN and IA). Often, over the years, Ive observed something that was
happening in California but not there... only to see it catch on in my
area weeks or months later. With luck, California's social liberalism
will strongly influence the rest of America in the same direction.
Californians are solidly pro-abortion, gay rights and anti second
amendment while polling over the last few decades has shown the
trend is away from support for their positions.
Reliable and respected polls, such as Gallup and harris, have
consistently shown for decades that the USA is Pro-Choice, 2-1.
A person has to either be very ignorant, or very programmed, to be
ANTI-Choice. Thus, as tolerance for person liberties increases, I
think that the extinction of that form of bigotry isn't too far off. And
the same pollong services have found that America s RAPIDLY
losing its bigotry with respect to homosexuality. This is probably
largely due to TV programs that reflect it as it SHOULD be reflected:
a perfectly normal alternate lifestyle.
I never noticed any anti-Second Amendment sentiment while
living in California. But that's not an issue for me, in any case.
Guns? I can take 'em or leave 'em. It's not a necessary right in
the 21st century. So if it lasted forever, that wouldn't bother me a
bit. And if it were repealed tomorrow, that wouldn't bother me either.
See above. And now he can set the trend!
Yeah like Pete Wilson did?
Name the last California governor, or politician for that matter, to
have an impact on national politics...
Guess what he was.
I assume you're talking about Reagan. If so, he was a harmless
conservative... NOT the RRR cult variety that prevails so much today.
He took NO active action against abortion, and gay rights activism was
still in its infancy, so wasn't anything he dealt with, to my knowledge.
Liberalism is dead,...
In your DREAMS!!! As i just pointd out, it's THRIVING! And can be
expected to do so even more in a couple of months when the new liberal
radio network gets going, and starts publicly blowing the whistle on the
rampant and blatant (and MINDLESS!!) control-freakism and busybodyism of
the RRR cultists. That should be a major contributor to reducing that
brand of social conservatives to laughingstock status, and to severely
damaging their hateful agendas against First Amendment rights, abortion
rights, and gays.
...trends in opinions are tot he conservative side,
Californians have little or no sway in politics any more...
You're living in a fantasy world.
It's the south that sets the trends my friend, that's where the
conservative power flows from - that's where the last five presidents
have come from and none of them ever ran as liberals.
Clinton was a liberal from the word, "Go!!" And was very clear
in his support, for example, for equal rights for gays, and for safe
and legal abortion on request. He was RE-elected in a breeze,
and probably would have gotten a third term, had it still been
Constitutional. (Despite the idiocy foisted against him about
Monica.) During his presidency, we had the greates period of
peace and prosperity in American history.
Let us know when you're ready to join the REAL world.

Hmmm. Evidently you're unaware that Sen. Orrin Hatch has introuced
a Constitutional Amendment that would REPEAL the provision that
currently prohibits those not born in America from being President. If
that passes, he COULD be President someday. A fair-minded, sensible,
PRO-Choice, PRO-Gay Rights, President.

My understanding is that it has little chance of passage. But you never

I read in another newsgroup someone claiming that Arnold was the
antichrist. A test of that would be if Arnold became so popular with
the masses that they demanded and got passage of an amendment allowing
somene like him to be president.

Why do more men than women support legal abortion? Abortion is a man's
best friend. It enables him to pressure his woman to kill her offspring
and allows her man to enjoy sex without consequences. Abortion. What a
