A man who said he has started his studies for the ministry while
incarcerated at the county jail was sentenced to prison Wednesday for
beating his wife.
Kevin Jones, 41, appeared before District Judge G. Todd Baugh after
previously pleading guilty to felony charges of partner or family
member assault and tampering with a witness. Baugh sentenced Jones to
five years at Montanan State Prison for the assault charge and an
additional four years on the tampering charge.
