PAW PAW - The former pastor of a Paw Paw church has been sentenced
to prison for 21 months to 10 years on one count of assault to commit
sexual penetration, following sentencing this week.
James Randall Hatfield, 66, former pastor of Center of Life
Church Pentecostal, 34580 M-40, was sentenced Tuesday, Jan. 22, before
Judge William C. Buhl. Hatfield was sentenced to serve 21 months to 10
years with the Michigan Department of Corrections, with credit for one
day served.

A female victim was interviewed Feb. 14, 2007, and provided
information of sexual abuse she encountered while living with
Hatfield, her adopted father.
The victim told authorities that sexual abuse began while she
was in middle school, and continued throughout high school.
