LONOKE - A Lonoke County man was sentenced Tuesday to three years in
state prison after pleading guilty to fourth-degree sexual assault for
having sex with a 15-year-old girl he met while serving as a fill-in
pastor at her church, authorities said.
William Douglas Dulany, 37, of Carlisle also received a three-year
suspended sentence, must register as a sex offender and is forbidden
from further contact with the girl, Lonoke County Prosecuting Attorney
Lona McCastlain said. He entered the plea in Lonoke County Circuit
Court, where Judge Lance Hanshaw imposed the sentence.
The girl reported the relationship to police in March, telling
officers that Dulany had provided her with a cell phone so he could
contact her. Dulany picked her up when she snuck out of her house and
drove her out in the county where the two parked and had sex together,
according to information provided by the prosecutor’s office.
Dulany told police he did have sex with the girl and that he knew
her age, having attended her 15th birthday party, according to
information provided by the prosecutor’s office.

Actually the best way to go is be honest with your
children, at a early age explain what is bad behavior for
adults with children. Encourage them to tell you or another
responsible person. Stop the behavior before it goes to far.
Save sending a person to prison, save the child from being
molested. Stop the freaking circle, most abuser were abused
them selves, help for the abused could prevent them from
being abusers.

Agreed. We need better ways to protect our kids. They should throw
