A Philomath man was sentenced Tuesday to more than eight years in
prison for sex abuse charges.
Dennis Parker, 42, pleaded guilty to two charges of first-degree sex
abuse and two charges of third-degree sex abuse. Under a plea
agreement, he will serve 100 months in prison and pay more than $7,500
in fines. He must also register as a sex offender.
The charges stem from incidents over the past two years during which
Parker molested children of families he knew from the Victory
Christian Church in Corvallis, according to the Benton County District
Attorney’s office. Two of the victims were 16- and 17-year-old girls.
One was a 12-year-old relative of Parker’s
