Convicted priest to be sentenced this afternoon
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. A former Cambridge priest convicted of raping a
teenage boy in a rectory in the 1980s learns his fate today.
The Reverend Paul William Hurley is scheduled to be sentenced this
afternoon in Middlesex Superior Court in Cambridge.
Last month, Hurley was convicted of raping a 15-year-old South Boston
boy in 1987 and 1988. The assaults occurred at the rectory of Blessed
Sacrament Parish, where the 62-year-old Hurley worked at the time.
An investigation into Hurley began in 2001 when the victim told
out-of-state police about the assaults.
He was indicted the next year.

Gays hiding behind a religious front is not just a
Catholic thing. It's common in all religions. However in the
past the Catholic Church has done more to protect their
workers than other religions. Mentioning the work of the
molester, is useful since it brings home that people can not
be trusted because of their work.
Child molesters tend to seek work that places them with
children. Teachers, Church youth workers, Coaches and child
care workers are most likely to molest children. Not because
of their work, they seek such work because of their mental
illness.

This is not a Gay thing it's about child molesters. Who
may or may not be Gay. More likely that a child molester
