Why didn't they interview any men?
The blatant sexist bias in the Pro-Choice area is soooo blaringly evident.
What a joke of a study in a time when we are into gender equality.

Probably because, whether you understand it or not, women are the only ones
who can get pregnant. How is it that you've gotten to the age of 44 and
*still* can't understand that fact of life?

Why didn't they interview any men?

Probably because they could not find any men that had been pregnant,
much less had gotten an abortion.

The blatant sexist bias in the Pro-Choice area is soooo blaringly evident.

Why? Because the researchers only interview people that were pertenant
to their study? That is just good research practices.

What a joke of a study in a time when we are into gender equality.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!

The study is serious. You are the joke. If you can produce any men
that have been pregnant and have gotten an abortion, I am sure that the
scientific community would be happy to include them in their surveys
and studies dealing with pregnancy. Otherwise, their opinions and data
is not pertenant to what they scientists are researching, which in this
case was post-abortion depression, and whether or not there was any
significant elevated risk of depression that could be tied directly to
the abortion and not to other causes.
If you think that men's opinions are of any use in this type if study,
why don't you describe the results of your last mammogram and PAP
smear.

Did the woman make the baby by herself or did she have help from the
man?
I'll assume that you already know the answer, so I'll close with this,
ethically it is only right that the man have a say in whether or not
the be baby be born because he helped to conceive him.

Who's body is the embryo/fetus in and living off of? Is she the slave
of the man, subject to his orders and whims?

I'll assume that you already know the answer, so I'll close with this,
ethically it is only right that the man have a say in whether or not

However, the woman is not the man's slave nor is she subject to his
orders. Since she is the one that is pregnant, she is the one that has
the final say in the matter. She does not even have to tell her S.O.
that she is pregnant.
What's more, ethically, the woman is the only one that can make the
decision, and it is her decision that counts the most. Therefore,
there is no reason that she should include anyone else in that decision
if she does not want to do so.

I don't know what he's thinking, but the logic stands if women don't
want to get raped then they should 1. not wear the mid-drift top with
the lowcut collar and a skirt that's so shirt it could actually pass
for a sash and 2. Stay off the freaking streets especially at night.
Besides, three forths of the women who charge men with rape are flat
out lying anyway. They go up to a guy acting all flirty and being all
consenual and when the guy finally touches the woman she up and
suddenly "changes her mind". That gives her the excuse she needs to
scream rape.

I don't know what he's thinking, but the logic stands if women don't
want to get raped then they should 1. not wear the mid-drift top
with the lowcut collar and a skirt that's so shirt it could actually
pass for a sash and 2. Stay off the freaking streets especially at
night.

Besides, three forths of the women who charge men with rape are flat
out lying anyway. They go up to a guy acting all flirty and being
all consenual and when the guy finally touches the woman she up and
suddenly "changes her mind". That gives her the excuse she needs to
scream rape.

Oh my. Looks like we have a candidate for the <soc.men> whinefest.

And it's plain that the cycle of disfunction continues with you.
If, in fact, your mother said those things to you, it's clear that she's

You really don't like women, do you?
In any event, I've read some of your other posts here, and you're coming off
as an angry, clueless halfwit, with nothing but childish opinions devoid of
any factual basis.
You're setting yourself up for all the derision you're receiving, rc.
Truly, you've earned it. You have much to learn.

Another example would be another guy I knew who was conservative like

She kept nagging him about sleeping with her and he didn't want to do
it because they weren't married.

And yet, he kept going out with her.
He made his choice. What's it to you, other than a perfect bad example?

She ended up seducing him on New

Looks like college isn't taking, rc.
Perhaps your parent's money would be better spent elsewhere?

To answer your question, I don't know why you would hate your own
gender. However, it's totally obvious that you do seeing as you agree
with a belief created by a bunch of feminist sluts who think men are
good for nothing but nagging at and walking over.

I'm sure you'll want to provide quotes of mine that buttress that
statement.

Calling me a "woman-hater" which is a term that is often used by those
very feminists I mentioned.

Well, your words certainly indicate that you have no respect for women, and
that you believe they should be controlled. That they won't act as you want
them to seems to upset you a great deal.

who thinks men are good for nothing except giving you an orgasm and
bowing to your every whim.

<snicker>
You've clearly got some serious issues, comic book boy.

Even if I did, that doesn't mean my words aren't true.

You have yet to demonstrate even one shred of evidence. Only opinion.

Unfortunately, I doubt you'll be able to have them addressed at Fundie
U.
To wit:

If anything, the place will make my issues worse before too much
longer.

Indeed. Schools like Fundie U. aren't known for their balance.

They have a class in their curriculum called, "History of Women", but
not "History of Men". Very discriminatory.

You're not just playing stupid, are you?

No. You don't see think that's sexist?

Why?
You're free to enroll, if you please.

That's not what I meant, fool. If a class called "History of Men"
existed even as recently as the eighties Steinam and NOW and all the
rest of those whores would be crying sexism. There'd be law suits all
over the place. It's a total double standard.

In fact, given the multitude of prejudices you've displayed, it would
probably be a good thing for your worldview.

You might want to consider adding a "Black Studies" class, as well.

The same double standard that I described regarding gender regards race
as well.

Lemee guess...I'll bet this is a major part of your "issues" with women:

My mom's problems, supposedly, came from the fact that she was raised
in a disfunctional family. You'd think she'd know better by the time
she hit thirty, but what can you do?

And it's plain that the cycle of disfunction continues with you.

If, in fact, your mother said those things to you, it's clear that she's
transferred some serious disfunctionalities to you.
Can you not see that?

Yeah, but she finally realized that when she started hitting middle
age. She's not as bad as she used to be.

Anyway, that was just one example. I gave another one to Terry on this
very thread about my friend who suffered depression when his skanky
girlfriend aborted their child.

"Skanky girlfriend"?
You really don't like women, do you?

In any event, I've read some of your other posts here, and you're coming off
as an angry, clueless halfwit, with nothing but childish opinions devoid of
any factual basis.
You're setting yourself up for all the derision you're receiving, rc.
Truly, you've earned it. You have much to learn.

Even if that was true, which it's not, it's not like I'd be the first
guy on this NG to act like that. So just get used to it.

Another example would be another guy I knew who was conservative like
me and dated this liberal chick for ten months (opposites attract??).
She kept nagging him about sleeping with her and he didn't want to do
it because they weren't married.

And yet, he kept going out with her.
He made his choice. What's it to you, other than a perfect bad example?

Yeah, for the sake of the kid he tried to stay together. Got a job and
everything. Wasn't easy being a full time student and all.

She ended up seducing him on New
Year's Eve. When she found out she was pregnant she waited three months
to tell him (mostly because the first trimester was over by then and
she was starting to show). Shortly after the kid was born she took him
and moved back to Ohio to live with her family leaving my friend here
in Georgia behind.

And the point of this odd story is?

It was just an example besides the one you posted.

I suspect some proper counseling is in order, if you want to get over
your hatred and move on in a more sane direction.
Consider it.

Counseling? Ok maybe I can go to hate rehab.

I'm serious. You need to work trough some issues,

I believe you meant to write "through".

lest you continue your completely disfunctional attitude.
Look...it's your life, and you're clearly not in very much control of it at
the moment. You seem to be finding scapegoats everywhere you look.
Very unhealthy.
You're going to have a very unhappy series of failed relationships-or,
perhaps none at all- if your current mindset prevails.

That post from misc.survivalism was pretty much the only time I
mentioned my personal life on usenet. I haven't complained about myself
or blamed anybody for my problems. And if you read the whole thread I
was posting to at the time you would know that I wasn't complaining
then.

So you deny what I said about the slums and the gang-banging?

As a blanket statement? Yes.

Well if it's a blanket statement then it can't be true can it? Of
course you missed the part where I said "Blacks, for the most part"
thereby eliminating any qualifications that statement would have of
being blanketed.

It's clear your coming from a *very* prejudiced mindset.

You wouldn't say that if I said most whites live in trailers and bang
their cousins. In fact, you'd probably find it funny.

However, you can't deny that you're not only a woman-hating misogynist,
but a racist hypocrite as well.
Iow, just another faux "Christian".

Yep, that's me alright.

It's exactly what your words betray.

I'm a hypocrite because I think feminism is descriminatory towards men

How?

What's wrong with a movement that encourages it's members (or, in this case,
gender) to seek equal treatment and opportunities?

The equality thing is a total load. At my cousin's wedding his new
mother-in-law actually toasted to the fact that he would never have the
upper hand in anything again.
And if I have to listen to my preacher say that men have to bow their
heads and say "yes dear" everyday after marriage again, I'm gonna stop
going to that church.

and affirmitive action is descriminatory towards whites.

Perhaps, but that's an entirely different subject.
One that I'm not intersted in getting sidetracked into at the moment.

You've obviously overlooked the First Rule of Hole-digging, comic boy.

Typical.

Of the Klan, perhaps.
Are you a member, or just a sympathizer?

Nah. There's no branch of the Klan near where I live. Besides, they've
gone soft anyway. No longer willing to do what it takes to get the
message out.

Boy, you just can't help coming off as a raving loon, can you?

What you appear to be saying is that:

1.) You're not a member because there's no organization in your area,
therefore it's too inconvenient for you, and

It goes beyond convience. The nearest branch is close to two hours away
by interstate.

2.) Even the Klan isn't radical enough for your views.

"Radical" and "sincere" are now synonomous to you? Ok.

So much for your 'blanket statement' denial, eh?

To tell you the truth there are some Klan members, such as Hal Turner,
who haven't gone soft, but for the most part they have.

Riddle me this: How can you call yourself a "Christian", attend a Christian
college, and yet hold so many views that are utterly antithetical to the
teachings of Jesus?

Pretty much every private college here was founded by a Christian. But
that's really not important.
And just so you know, reverse discrimination is still discrimination
and there for antithetical.

I may read comics, but you're the one with your head in the clouds.

Is that so?
Why?

Because you don't see that all the problems of society didn't get
better after the sixties like they were supposed to. They just changed
sources.

Wow...
You *really* need some serious therapy, rc.
Must really suck to carry so much anger and bitterness around.
Do note the Voltaire quote below. You seem to be the perfect example of what
he was referring to.

I've read Voltaire before. I'm not impressed.
