Sue hospice in Florida for $200,000,000 |
The Schindler family should announce they're going to sue Woodside hospice
in Pinellas Park, Florida for $200,000,000 for the wrongful death of their
daughter, Terri.
That should scare them into hooking her back up. The legal theory is you
can sue for wrongful death and collect, but its very doubtful you can sue
for wrongful life and collect. At most, Michael might sue for something,
but the judge will award him $500 at most.
Somebody ought to tell Woodside Hospice they'll be bankcrupt if they let
that woman die. Woodside should call the County Hospital and tell them to
fetch her in an ambulance. They ought to tell the sheriff they don't want
to be a party to this and if somebody wants to kill Terri, they're not the
ones, but if the County Hospital wants to do it, they're welcome to.
Woodside would be advised to wheel Terri out to the sidewalk. Nobody can
force them to kill Terri, nobody. If Terri dies, the Shindlers will
collect millions and millions for mental anguish, wrongful death, loss of
consortium, and just about everything in the book. Woodside, Michael
Shiavo, the doctors, lawyers, everybody will get sued and you can bet there
are plenty of sympathetic jurors out there who will award $200,000,000.00.

Yep. But, are they any uncorrupt lawyers or judges out there now?

You should know, as often as you've whined about them since you first
discovered this newsgroup.

Since everything that is being done is being done under a court order
and with both public and legal scrutiny such an attempt would only get
them laughed out of court. And ordered to pay all costs involved.
