Object: Survey Finds How the Bible Fits in Teens' Lives
I have never been one to espouse the Good Book, although I have always
advocated the morality and decency that it represents. It is refreshing to
know that todays youth are rejecting the mores of the left-wing loons.
http://www.christianpost.com/article/20060718/23044.htm
NEW YORK -- A recent survey found that a majority of young teens said there
are correlations between the messages of the Bible and the way they apply
those messages to their lives. "Generation Y" is reportedly the largest boom
in U.S. history. More than 1,600 teens aged 12-18 years were surveyed by the
American Bible Society to find what kind of role the Bible plays in the
lives of these youths. The survey, conducted by Weekly Reader Research,
revealed 70 percent of 12-15-year-olds said that Bible messages and the
application of them to their lives correlate with one another. Among the
teens, African American youths were significantly more likely to agree with
this statement than teens of other ethnic groups In detail, more than half
the teens read the Bible daily, weekly, on Sunday or sometimes. Of that, an
estimated 6 percent of 12-18-year-olds in the U.S. read the Bible daily.
There are approximately 30.2 million 12-18-year-olds in the U.S., according
to the American Bible Society.

Actually, he probably does. He, like the Bible, is filled with hate.
But that probably occurs naturally. He doesn't seem like the type to
actually, you know, *read* a book.

In your dream, nazi turd. Take a more credible source than the
"christian post" and you'll see that, actually, today's youth reject
more and more the "American model" because they are wise enough to see
its hypocrisy. Hardly "rejecting the mores of the left-wing loons"...

What percent do you think of 12-18 year olds read the Bbile daily in
1906? 1956? It's good to see that the percent of daily Bible readers is
about the same a the percent that is homosexual. I was raised an
athiest and I could have claimed that between 12-18, I read the BIble
SOMETIMES. So your whole story is just a lot of spin.

And just what morality and decency is represented in what
Good Book. I am unaware of any such in what most refer to
as the "Good Book"

The group that has the highest drug addiction, highest unwed
motherhood, the highest murder rate, both as victims and
perps and the highest percentage in prison. Boy oh boy what
a reccommendation for Christianity.

In detail, more than half
the teens read the Bible daily, weekly, on Sunday or sometimes. Of that, an
estimated 6 percent of 12-18-year-olds in the U.S. read the Bible daily.

Six percent of 12-18 year olds have parents that are church
workers. 10% of teenagers are atheist openly many more
somply haven't decided.

There are approximately 30.2 million 12-18-year-olds in the U.S., according
to the American Bible Society.

And 94% are not dedicated Bible readers? At least 10%
reject religion.
Sounds promising to me.
