Teens Promote Purity on Valentine's Day
Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006 Posted: 12:08:23PM EST
Teens and youth will stand up for sexual purity today on Valentine's Day by
taking part in the third annual Day of Purity, organizing events to
encourage their churches, organizations or community to take part.
The national event, which will involve hundreds, was organized by the
Liberty Counsel, a conservative Christian legal firm based in Orlando, Fla.
Youths will participate in various outreach activities to spread the message
of abstinence before marriage

Sex is consensual, and when you're not involved, it's none of your

Rape is neither sex nor consensual. Preventing such harm is everyone's

The issue seems to be that you refuse to grasp the concept of informed

Sex (which is consensual) between people who aren't you is none of

Coercing as minor into sexual activity (rape, by definition) is
everyone's business, for the aforementioned reasoning.
A ten year old can not legally (and I would wager psychologically too)

Strange how you christstains can't conceive of consensual vs.
non-consensual. Even stranger is how you christstains think that every

When and under what circumstances do people think that sex and
abortion are moral issues of concern to everyone?

Others' sex acts (consensual, by definition) not involving you are
none of your damn business.
I would also put forth that a woman's decision to have a medical
procedure such as abortion is also none of your damn business, even if
you did donate a sperm sample. It's her body, not yours. I'd even bet
money that you are neither the owner nor an operator of a uterus. So
you don't get a say in what a woman does with her body.
Of course, anyone with a brain and an 8th grade education knows that
after the first six or eight weeks of pregnancy, it's pretty much too
late for an elective abortion, but somehow, in your christstain zeal,
you will trumpet forth the lie that all pro-choice people are

Others' sex acts (consensual, by definition) not involving you are

Sex is not consensual by definition.

The ***** it's not! (Note pun)
People consent to sex every day. Yea, verily - every time _sex_ is
had, it's consensual. The two (or more) parties involved consent to
have sex. That means they agree that everyone's willing to give it a
go.
When someone does not consent to sex, it's called rape.
That means that someone said no, but the other(s) involved did not pay
attention and coerced or forced the person saying no.
That's why there's two different words --
sex (spelled s-e-x) and rape (spelled r-a-p-e).
It's an advanced concept. But necessary and germane to the discussion.

This is an absurd comment.

Only a brainless dolt would say that.
And it's still the woman's body, not yours. You have zero say over
what she does with it. Unless, of course, you're raping her, in which
case that would be bad and wrong.

After having this debate for how many years, we
are still no further than the blindly inane argument that an abortion is
simply a woman having medical procedure on "her own body".

Well, it is -- up to a point. Then the fetus can be viable outside the
womb, at which point, IMO, most people would agree that it's a baby,
and ya might as well just have it, since it's that far along.
A newly fertilized ovum is not a baby. It's a bunch of cells, with as
much sentience as your discarded toenail clippings.
Then again, this bleeding heart liberal doesn't know any woman who's
ever had an abortion, and all my other bleeding heart liberal women
friends who've had babies never considered an abortion, not even the
single mother of two who was raped.
However, if my sister were raped and got pregnant, and if she wanted
an abortion, I'd drive her to the clinic and hold her hand during the
procedure.
What you and your christstain/republiCUNT (butt-) buddies want is to
remove women's choices arbitrarily.
So, I'll make you a deal -- when men start having the babies, then you
all can have a say about what happens to your own bodies.
Of course, if that ever happened, abortion would become the eighth
holy sacrament in the Catholic church, possibly a rite of passage for
every non-Catholic male.

Does anyone
actually believe that repeating this often often enough will make it
adequate?

Grow a uterus and get pregnant, bunky, then you get to have an
opinion. Until then, HAND.

Of course, anyone with a brain and an 8th grade education knows that

No fallacy involved, except your own.

It's called biology class. Too bad you skipped it.
<snip word salad>

after the first six or eight weeks of pregnancy, it's pretty much too

Why is too late after six to eight weeks? It's not illegal.

It's also not illegal to take people's money for speculative purposes
on the stock market.
Go take a biology class, and you will learn the answers you seek.

but somehow, in your christstain zeal,
you will trumpet forth the lie that all pro-choice people are
"pro-abortion," and want every woman to have an abort6ion.

For some reason you feel it necessary to promote the misconception that
everyone who questions pro-choice advocates must be a christian.

I did not say that. Read it again.
FREE CLUE: find the word "christian" in what I wrote.

Do you
think that strengthens your position?

I've never met an atheist, agnostic, Buddhist, Shinto, Wiccan,
neo-Pagan, Asatru, secular humanist, or Mithraite who have ever put
forth the lie that all pro-choice people are "pro-abortion" and want
every woman to have an abortion.
The only people who do that are republiCUNTS and/or christstains, such
as yourself.
Go figure -- a cult that preaches to its followers that ramming their
sick religious crap down others' throats under penalty of eternal
damnation (and the threat of imminent death, historically speaking)
demanding that others behave as they preach (not necessarily as they
do).

So I repeat, what's your point?

You already conceded several instances where that is not the case,

You are terribly confused, as I have done no such thing.
Sex is consensual.
Rape is neither consensual nor sex.
Only an idiot or a serial rapist would maintain otherwise.

so I
repeat, what's your point?

Then why the phrase "consensual sex"?

When someone does not consent to sex, it's called rape.

It's still sex, coerced sex.

That means that someone said no, but the other(s) involved did not pay
attention and coerced or forced the person saying no.

That's why there's two different words --

sex (spelled s-e-x) and rape (spelled r-a-p-e).

It's an advanced concept. But necessary and germane to the discussion.

It's a trivial concept not relevant to the discussion. Sex per se is not the
issue, nobody cares. The only issue is irreponsible attitudes and actions
which have severe negative consequences on other humans. Note, fetuses are
other humans, family members are other humans, doctors are other humans,
fathers are other humans, people who respect human life are other humans.
When a woman becomes "pregnant" that means another human exists within her,
in case you forgot.

I would also put forth that a woman's decision to have a medical

Only a brainless dolt would say that.

Please stop enaging in that fallacy. If one person kills another, cannot I
be concerned, even though neither person is *me*?

I never suggested that she should not be allowed to commit suicide.
You have zero say over

friends who've had babies never considered an abortion, not even the
single mother of two who was raped.

Interesting, you claim to know a lot about something you have no experience
with.

However, if my sister were raped and got pregnant, and if she wanted
an abortion, I'd drive her to the clinic and hold her hand during the
procedure.

Same here.

What you and your christstain/republiCUNT (butt-) buddies want is to
remove women's choices arbitrarily.

Not at all. I am not even opposed to choice per se, I just want all the
lying to stop.

So, I'll make you a deal -- when men start having the babies, then you
all can have a say about what happens to your own bodies.

Not interested in "own bodies", stop repeating fallacies.

Of course, if that ever happened, abortion would become the eighth
holy sacrament in the Catholic church, possibly a rite of passage for
every non-Catholic male.

??

Does anyone
actually believe that repeating this often often enough will make it
adequate?

Grow a uterus and get pregnant, bunky, then you get to have an
opinion. Until then, HAND.

Tell that to all the sycophant pro-choice men here.

Of course, anyone with a brain and an 8th grade education knows that

To avoid further embarrassment to yourself I suggest you read the
following:

No fallacy involved, except your own.
Anyone with a brain and an eighth grade education knows

There it is again.. tch tch

that after the
first six or eight weeks of pregnancy, it's pretty much too late for
an elective abortion.
It's called biology class. Too bad you skipped it.

Non-responsive and false.

<snip word salad>

after the first six or eight weeks of pregnancy, it's pretty much too
late for an elective abortion,

Why is too late after six to eight weeks? It's not illegal.

It's also not illegal to take people's money for speculative purposes
on the stock market.

Point?

Go take a biology class, and you will learn the answers you seek.

Non-responsive.

but somehow, in your christstain zeal,
you will trumpet forth the lie that all pro-choice people are
"pro-abortion," and want every woman to have an abort6ion.

For some reason you feel it necessary to promote the misconception that
everyone who questions pro-choice advocates must be a christian.

I did not say that. Read it again.
FREE CLUE: find the word "christian" in what I wrote.

Oh, hah hah

Do you
think that strengthens your position?

I've never met an atheist, agnostic, Buddhist, Shinto, Wiccan,
neo-Pagan, Asatru, secular humanist, or Mithraite who have ever put
forth the lie that all pro-choice people are "pro-abortion" and want
every woman to have an abortion.

That's not what is meant by "pro-abortion". You are lying. Pro-abortion is
the idea that abortion is an easy, reasonable and viable solution to
unplanned pregnancy. That is an immoral attitude.

The only people who do that are republiCUNTS and/or christstains, such
as yourself.

Nope

Go figure -- a cult that preaches to its followers that ramming their
sick religious crap down others' throats under penalty of eternal
damnation (and the threat of imminent death, historically speaking)
demanding that others behave as they preach (not necessarily as they
do).

Religion is immaterial, the issue is morality, how and when we hold human
life to be sacrosanct.

So I repeat, what's your point?

That sex between people who aren't you is none of your damn business.

You already conceded several instances where that is not the case,

You are terribly confused, as I have done no such thing.
Sex is consensual.
Rape is neither consensual nor sex.
Only an idiot or a serial rapist would maintain otherwise.

Sex is not the issue, responsibility is.

so I
repeat, what's your point?

That sex between people who are not you is none of your damn business.
Do try to keep up.

Sex is not the issue per se.

Do try to keep up.

Please upgrade your arguments.

Right after you grasp them and admit defeat by a superior intellect
who just decimated your crap.

Lets' see, repeating the same stale rhetoric about women's "own bodies"
interpersed with strawmen and poisoning the well fallacies.
Some superior intellect, you didn't utter a single original or thoughtful

People consent to sex every day. Yea, verily - every time _sex_ is
had, it's consensual. The two (or more) parties involved consent to
have sex. That means they agree that everyone's willing to give it a
go.

Then why the phrase "consensual sex"?

It's a redundancy, much like "amoral christstain."

When someone does not consent to sex, it's called rape.

It's still sex, coerced sex.

It's called rape. Rape is non-consensual. Sex is consensual.

attention and coerced or forced the person saying no.

That's why there's two different words --

sex (spelled s-e-x) and rape (spelled r-a-p-e).

It's an advanced concept. But necessary and germane to the discussion.

It's a trivial concept

No, it's the concept that proves the original assertion that others'

I'm going to make a tentative leap of faith here and pretend for one moment
that you are someone with a few remaining working brain cells and address
you accordingly. I won't be too surprised if it turns out it was a waste of
time.
If someone can simply dismiss a complex moral issue by declaring it to be a
private matter, what is stopping anyone from doing the same with other moral
issues? The example I used *IS* in fact an argument men have used and still
use to justify violence against their spouses and families, often with legal
sanction. That is where I introduced the analogy.
I am not concerned about safe, harmless sex, AT ALL. The core issue here in
my view, is the proliferation of irresponsible unprotected vaginal
intercourse, with the idea that abortion is a safe and reasonable "remedy"
should pregnancy occur. Then, what follows are the dehumanizing arguments to
facilitate this convenient "out", for men *and* women, like "a fetus is
nothing more than a wart", "it's not a person yet", an abortion is nothing
more significant than having a broken arm set". Then this inane non-sequitor
argument comes along, "sex is a private matter and none of your business".
It is my opinion that abortion *is* a significant and troubling moral issue,
not to be brushed aside so blithely. I apologize, that was not particularly
lucid explanation. I am not convinced at all that abortion ought to be
illegal, I am very ambivalent about it. But it saddens me to see the issue,
i.e. innocent human lives, being used as ping-pong balls by mental and moral
cripples on usenet.

Explaining a lie doesn't make it one bit less of a lie. He's had his
ridiculous claims refuted countless times and still refuses to accept
the fact that he's wrong.

Maybe it's you that's wrong.

I'm going to make a tentative leap of faith here and pretend for one moment
that you are someone with a few remaining working brain cells and address
you accordingly. I won't be too surprised if it turns out it was a waste of
time.

Christstains like Dutchie are required to abandon their innate mental
faculties and conscience to become full cult members. They can tell
the difference, but their membership in their cult, contingent on
their denying the obvious, is more important to them.
