Object: Terrorism Increases Under Bush
Like many other areas, the Bush Administration is now lying about
terrorism. They lied in April when they announced, and many
Republicans crowed about, how terrorism is down under Bush. We now
know that terrorism under Bush has "risen sharply" since the Bush's war
of terrorism began. The Republicans are backpedaling like crazy.
http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/13/powell.report/index.html
The report marks the second time in a month that [Colin] Powell
disavowed information initially presented as accurate.
n May, he said much of the sourcing for his February 2003 presentation
to the U.N. Security Council -- in which he outlined the U.S. arguments
in favor of the invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein from Iraq -- was
"inaccurate and wrong and, in some cases, deliberately misleading."
(But conservatives insist Bush doesn't lie...)

That leaves us with the "incredibly incompetent" explanation.
Does that explanation work out in Bush's favor?

It worked for Reagan.

Yup.
Just another reason we should have declared war on Germany (which
we didn't do until after Germany declared war on the United
States) in 1939 when Britain declared war (although there was a
"relatively" high number of U.S. citizens that joined the
Canadian and England's armies).

Any Britons or Anglophiles: was my words
". . . England's armies" correct? Or would
the WW2 army in Great Britain actually
named something other than "England's".
Thanks /g/

A lie isn't a lie when "it's for a greater good(tm)."
