Tests for gay babies |
Hi,
Can anyone help me? I'm pregnant and I want my baby but
as long as its not gay. Are there any tests I can do
on the baby to make sure its OK? I dont want a gay or
lesbian baby it would be too much and I want an
abortion if it is.

"Gay/lesbian" is an adjective describing the noun that it's qualifying; in
this case the baby. Unless the baby has engaged in homosexual activity, it
is not "gay". Thus, the only test to know if it is gay is if it has engaged
in such activity. Has it?

I think Karen is concerned about the predisposition to homosexuality.
Just in the same way that the people who select certain embryos over
others are concerned about predisposition to disease.
It's not our job to impose on Karen our own morality. They are her
choices. It's not our job even to question her rationalisation, or the
method she has used to arrive at her conclusions. A society that imposes
its will on a woman to deny her an abortion because her baby is likely
to be a homosexual is not a society worth living in.
Oh, but hang on. There is no baby. Sorry.

I think your straining to take an obvious troll seriously, in order to
build a *weak* strawman.
It's not our job to impose on Karen our own morality. They are her

That's why "choice" should be in the hands of she that is pregnant.

Where, indeed, will it end. We have had eugenics for years, masquerading
as concern. Now, we have eugenics, but the face it presents is the face
of "choice". And yes, it will be hell.

Hello,
Does this mean theres tests for gay or lesbo babies then? I think that
if I had to listen to fudgepacking going on in my house Id go mad.
Like it would be psycological torture why should I have to handle
that??????? Its also true that gays are SIX TIMES more likely to be
kidie fiddlers than normal people so that means that if i have an
abortion of a fagot then I stop kids being abused!!
So if you can tell me what tests I can do then???

Hello,
Does this mean theres tests for gay or lesbo babies then? I think that
if I had to listen to fudgepacking going on in my house Id go mad.
Like it would be psycological torture why should I have to handle
that??????? Its also true that gays are SIX TIMES more likely to be
kidie fiddlers than normal people so that means that if i have an
abortion of a fagot then I stop kids being abused!!
So if you can tell me what tests I can do then???
You could start by studying and getting your GED.
Hello???? any prochoicers on this group or is the internet now being
owned by loads of christian prolifer extremists?????
Here's a clue for you to beat into your head - just because I disagree
with your thoughts there doesn't make me christian, pro-life OR
extreme.
What dose it take to get it into your t hick litle head you freakin
idiot that woman are people who should ahave theyre bodies respected
and their choices respected???
And when are you going to get it into your think little head that I'm
not a pro-lifer? As for your choices, there's nothing says I have to
respect them. I respect your right to make them, and yes, there is a
difference.
If I get a fagot or a lesbo baby I swear I will either kill me or it
or both. Thats a good enough reason for abortion and its not a baby so
its the best think. But if its a normal baby I dont want an aborion so
wears the choice??????
Actually, your attitude is a good enough reason never to have
children. Think about it. You're about as closed-minded as the
pro-lifers you claim to dislike so much.

What were you disagreeing with Adam? Don't understand, sorry. Maybe you
could explain your problem with the hypothetical abortion of children
with a predisposition to homosexuality?

Play a Liza Minelli album. If the baby starts kicking wildly, you've got a
gay one.
I dont want a gay or lesbian baby it would be too much and I want an
abortion if it is.

Hi,
Can anybody actualy help me here!! I thought that some people knew
about abortions and could help.
Im 12 weeks pregnant and I definately dont want a gay baby no way. Can
you imagine having a quear as a daughter or a son?? Thank god theres
abortion so we can choose, but whats the point of abortion if you cant
tell whether your babies a quear???
I read once that there was a test for being a quear, or that people
were born quears so they must be able to tell. I would be happy to
spend lots of money on a test if there was one so if anyone can help
they can email me or if they know anyone who can help me can they also
email me.
Thanks everybody

Pregnant and abysmally stupid is no way to go through life.

On that basis I think you should be looking at imposing abortion on
homosexual children of 'homophobic' mothers as a matter of principle
frankly. I mean, we've already had people on this board expressing the
view that disabled people should never have been born because of their
quality of life, so I hardly think we can make an exception for these
poor souls.

Well, lookee here. Who are these people on this board who have said that
disabled people should never have been born? I think you mean me, don't
you, since I'm the one with whom you've been arguing this very topic in
another thread. You didn't respond to my last post to you in that thread,
so obviously you couldn't answer the points I made in it, yet here you are
misquoting me 'behind my back'. Did you hope I wouldn't see this post?
There are several adjectives to describe this sort of behaviour - sneaky and
cowardly being just two of them.
Let's get this straight: I have never said that disabled people should never
have been born. What I have said is that in many instances it would have
been better if they had never been born. If you can't differentiate between
the two statements then I suggest you take a remedial English course. If a
pregnant woman discovers that the foetus she is carrying has a gross
abnormality then it is entirely up to her to decide whether to abort or to
carry to term. It is no-one else's business, and she is under no obligation
to give any reason for her decision to anyone else.

Who gets to decide for the baby? Did anyone bother to ask the baby whether
it would like to live? Why are the babies rights denied? Where is the
babies right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

What baby? There is no baby until after birth, at which time it does have
rights. If you mean an embryo or foetus, you tell me what their rights are
and where they are encoded in law.

Thanks June for that clarification.
Frankly, I do struggle to with the distinction between "some disabled
people should never have been born", and that all of them should never
have been born, simply because I'm looking at this in part from the
point of view of the choiceless disabled person for whom such a
distinction is meaningless.
Anyway, let's get back on topic!
Would you support a woman's right to choose to abort a child on the
basis of his or her predisposition to homosexuality?
