If Gore loses this election, there will be three key factors:
(1) Nader threw the election. (A circumstance, but a legal one.)
(2) A fouled-up ballot in Palm Beach County, and no *concerted*
attempt to obtain a county-wide re-vote to correct that.
(Legal, but very unfortunate.)
(3) The above DIRTY TRICK. (Probably legal, according to the
LETTER of the law. But it STINKS to high heaven, and proves
that the lessons of Watergate were LOST on the Republicans,

Court has had a FAIR-minded, sensible, and egalitarian majority.
In line with the Marbury vs. Madison decision over 200 years ago
(1804), the Court has prudently and legally exercised its power of
judicial review with fairness and the defense of human rights upper-
most in its mind -- making but ONE major mistake (Dred Scott) over
two whole *centuries*.
After 1954, our FAIR-minded and sensible court carefully perused
the Constitution with an eye on supporting and defending human and
civil rights. BUT -- if it had been the repressive sort of Court that we
are NOW about to be saddled with -- for the rest of our lives!!! -- such
decisions as the wondrously fair-minded ones that have so hugely
ENHANCED America, and saved tens of millions of people from having
needless hardship imposed upon them, probably would have gone the
other way.
-- In 1967, Loving vs. Virginia likely would have been decided
*against* the harmless human right of interracial couples being
legally able to marry, in states having loathsome "miscegenation"
laws.
-- In 1973, Roe vs. Wade probably would have been decided
such that millions of women would have *continued* to have
been subjected to second-class-citizen status and a 9-month-
long form of forcible RAPE by being forced to gestate unwanted
pregnancies to term against their will.
-- In 1998, the so-called "CDA" would probably have been upheld,
and that loathsome statute that had been passed by a misguided
Congress would now be censoring and ruining the internet. And
instead of PRESERVING our right to freedom of speech and
expression, we would now be far closer to LOSING most of that
than we are today.
-- In 2003, "Lawrence vs. Texas," which was fairly decided such
that the government was totally kicked OUT of the privacy of
our bedrooms (as it should always have been), likely would have
been decided in favor of the busybodyish and control-freakish
bigots, instead.
Last fall, we should have DECISIVELY chucked our perfidious
and repressive Warmonger-in-Thief OUT of office, thereby SAVING
the U.S. Supreme Court from becoming a monstrous CRIPPLER of

HE was in the position where he could have teamed up with Gore
to DEMAND a fair and meticulous recount of the Florida ballots, so
