"The Virginity Mystique"
Has anyone ever given serious consideration as to WHY an
otherwise fairly-enlightened society persists so much in regarding
virginity to be something special?
Before I ever ate my first slice of pizza, I was a "pizza
virgin." Before I ever bowled, I was a "virgin" in that respect.
Likewise for sex.
But every time I left one type of virginity behind, the effect
invariably was to ENHANCE my life.
Putting virginity on a pedestal is precisely the same as
ascribing value to ignorance.
"Losing" one's virginity is to GAIN a new dimension in one's
life, whether it be with pizza, sex, bowling, or anything else.
The only significance of whether one is a virgin or not with
respect to sex is a totally ARTIFICIAL, arbitrary, and meaningless
one. The ONLY change that scrapping sexual virginity produces
is to enhance one's life experiences, unless you've been brain-
washed into some primitive and pointless belief system. (Which
you can just as easily scrap.)
In short, "virginity" is no big deal. It is not something that
one "loses." It is something that one should willingly seek to GET
RID of, just as we so willingly get rid of other forms of virginity
with first experiences of any sort. Pizza, bowling, or whatever.
Therefore, IF you regard sexual virginity to have any special
significance, all I can say to you is this:
Fer Pete's sake, GET A LIFE! And then ENJOY it !!

June 21, 2006 Update:
When this thread originally ran, several people made the
mistake of thinking that I openly advocated that virgins simply
scrap virginity for the sake of getting that done. Looking it over
again now, I can see how they got that impression. So now
I'll clarify.
What I meant then, and still mean now, is THIS:
Retaining one's sexual virginity for virginity's sake -- as though
there were supposedly some "special" quality, or some sort of
"purity" associated with it, is abjectly STUPID.
There ARE some good and valid reasons for doing so, however.
And the most valid of those is the fact that abstinence IS the
greatest defense against catching or transmitting STDs. If such
a reason as THAT is employed for retaining virginity, that's good
thinking. BUT... if a person does so *because* they've been
conned into thinking that there's some sort of "purity" associated
with virginity -- then THAT is as DUMB a reason as anyone could
fall for.

Which shows you to be for sex with infants.

LOL!
How would you know?
The only significance of whether one is a virgin or not with
respect to sex is a totally ARTIFICIAL, arbitrary, and meaningless
one. The ONLY change that scrapping sexual virginity produces
is to enhance one's life experiences, unless you've been brain-
washed into some primitive and pointless belief system. (Which

Which, according to you, would require rendering newly born virgins
non-virginal at birth.
In short, "virginity" is no big deal.
If you wouldn't make a big deal about it, I am sure people wouldn't think
about so much.
Why are you pre-occupied with virginity?
It is not something that one "loses."
Something you like to take?
It is something that one should willingly seek to GET
RID of,
As soon as they can, according to your dogma.
just as we so willingly get rid of other forms of virginity
with first experiences of any sort. Pizza, bowling, or whatever.
Trite, banal, mundane.
IOW, BORING tripe.
Therefore, IF you regard sexual virginity to have any special

So says someone who wants to screw teenage virgins, huh?

When I was a young man I was chatting with a chick to know her. I
asked her what about sexuality and she told me was proud of being a
virgin. I was a little disappointed and told her, that to me a chick
of 21 being a virgin was a sign of being sexually frigid. I dropped
my chatting with her this same day.

Columbia SC (EAP)
Local officials are investigating a freak explosion that leveled fifteen
square miles of Columbia, Forest Acres, and other parts of
Richland County, as well as Fort Jackson. The source of the
explosion was traced back to the apartment of Colin Day, where
Columbia police found the suspected cause of the explosion: the
remains of an Irony-Meter, destroyed almost beyond recognition.
Officials were able to determine that Mr. Day was viewing
alt.atheism at the time of the explosion.
Debris from the explosion was widespread, pieces of the Irony-
Meter were found as far way as Chapin and Lexington.
"Why can't people see the danger in these devices?" asked an
Army specialist, "They're just too dangerous, even the Army
will not accept the risks,"

Obviously not. Craig clearly understands that as sexual
partners go, virginal girls are about as desireable
as unskilled labor would be in a hi-tech job.
Who wants to invest all that effort in on-the-job
training, when there are millions of highly qualified,
expert and experienced lovers out there already?
Women who know things that might never have occured
to you in a million years?
Someone who would seek out virgins for sex would
hire an illiterate to read to the kids.
