The world needs safe, legal abortion procedures |
There are an estimated 50 million abortions each year. This means that
in one decade, world population could grow by around one half billion
without the use of abortion. That would place enormous enormous
economic and technological strains upon the whole world and and severely
exacerbate problems like malnutrition, potential for epidemics and urban
crowding and warfare. Genocidal actions in highly catholic Rwanda, for
example, were largely motivated by heavy overpopulation and insufficient
amounts of arable land to support them.
The pro-lie movement promotes policies that could lead to the long term
death of the entire human species through massive overpopulation.

"It is fashionable to wax apocalyptic about the
threat to humanity posed by the AIDS virus, 'mad cow'
disease, and many others, but I think a case can be
made that faith is one of the world's great evils,
comparable to the smallpox virus but harder to
eradicate." -- Richard Dawkins
