Thoughts on the Passing of Christopher Reeve |
One day while jumping horses – a pastime reserved for the fabulously
wealthy and well-bred – Superman fell to earth. He was called "courageous"
and "heroic." His story was called a "triumph of the human spirit." All
for being a sub-par horseman.
Within moments he became the hand puppet of the God-complex Left, an
immediate celebrity pundit and indisputable genetic ethicist for
advocating the dissection of harvested human beings at taxpayers' expense.
Reeve's pitch yanked at the passions of false hope, politicizing a demonic
practice in the name of healing dreaded neurological diseases. And yet
this research can be done at roughly the same cost and far more ethically
on adult stem cells. And besides, the promised results of this research
are far more dubious than Reeve would have had us believe.
In life Christopher Reeve acted like he knew better than the rest of us.

One day while jumping horses – a pastime reserved for the fabulously
wealthy and well-bred – Superman fell to earth.
So sorry you have that image of those in the show jumping/eventing world.
Really and truly the sport of eventing (which is what Chris was doing when he
fell) isn't reserved for those with money. I am a part of the horse
business/world, am by no means wealthy. I breed my own show horses, went to
the Olympic trials in 1978 with a grade mare (no pedigree to speak of) that I
paid very little money for and placed 7th. Not too bad for a gal on a shoe
string budget who waited tables to pay for the fees that accompanied getting to
that level of competition.
Chris was not a great rider, nor was he a bad rider. He had a wonderful horse
and as tall as he was, he was a bit top heavy which didn't help him much. The
jump where the fall occurred was in the shadows (I have jumped that same jump a
few times) and at certain times of the day, it's quite misleading as to exactly
it's height----rather tough for a horse to judge where it is. I usually took
that fence at a trot to give myself and my horse time to see. But, alas, it
was not to be for him on that fateful day.
Breeding and showing horses, no matter what the discipline can be expensive,
but the art of riding is by no means reserved for the wealthy...........many of
them are mere horse owners and let the trained riders ride their expensive
beasts. Anyone can be successful in the sport but you have to be a good rider
to begin with and if you haven't got that, then success won't meet you at the
in gate.
If nothing else, Chris brought into the spotlight how dangerous riding can be,
it's not for the faint of heart or timidity of the soul and he also garnered
millions for spinal cord research. So he was a movie actor..big deal. He
still did his part by contributing something to society despite his own
suffering. May he rest in peace.

Not to worry, Gactimus. John Edwards recently assured us if he and
Kerry are elected the Christopher Reeves of this world will walk. The
guy has now graduated from merely channeling in front of juries and
clearly has a direct pipeline to God. He also made other wild claims
about the *promises* of stem cell research, alluding to Alzheimer's,
among other things. Just like the junk science he sells to ignorant
juries which have made him enormously wealthy, of all the diseases out
there amenable to cure through this type of research, Alzheimer's is
last on the list. There's not a shred of science behind this claim,
but that's how charlatan's like Edwards and global warming imbeciles
like Al Gorelone play the game.
As you indicate, while Reeve's accident was unfortunate in the
extreme, medical tragedies abound in this world, not a one of which is
reason to involve the federal government in private medical research.
Nothing is stopping anyone from donating to any cause they deem fit.
Reeve's case is illustrative of a tendency in this country to take
isolated tragedies which receive national attention and revamp our
entire criminal justice system. Same dynamic at work here.
Yours was a great post and you're a very bright man. Thank you.

I'm not sure what exactly you're trying to say here, so I'll go out on a
limb....
First, if your use of the word "*****" is merely the manner in which you
refer to women, then you've removed any doubt as to your overwhelming lack
of class, as is common for those of you with only a .02% genetic separation
from chimpanzes. Hell, you're becoming a disgrace to the other residents of

Nevertheless, if you use the word "*****" as a common reference to women,
then it also shows what a low opinion you have of women and makes it clearer
why you strive to control them, and why you will never have what it takes to
have a woman in your life of any substance. It would also show what a
clueless fuckstain you are, since I've been married for over ten years. Say
what you'd like about that....you don't know diddly-***** about my wife, so
any attempts to make an insult is laughably irrelevant.
Second, in *my* context of "*****," I've no desire to be near them anyway, so

Since you couldn't buy a clue, let me offer you a few free ones:
"Reeve, a quadriplegic for the last nine years of his life who vowed that he
would one day walk again, died Sunday of complications from an infection
caused by a bedsore.
Now.....since dipshits like you cannot put two-and-two together, the
bedsores derived from being unable to shift his weight.
What does this have to do with embryonic stem cell research? The
advancements in ESCR have us standing at the brink of some of the greatest
advancements in medicine, including diabetes, alzheimer's, and -taDAH!!-
paralysis.
People that have full motion have no clue as to the difficulties endured
within the simplest of activities, like sitting up, shifting your weight and
taking a ***** on your own.
Even the most optimistic researchers don't believe we are getting close
to repairing nerve trauma, stem cells or no stem cells.
You are a fucking liar.
I posted links to show where you don't know your ***** from a hole in the
ground. Of course, you conveniently overlook the facts that shatter your
pitiful lies:
Advances in curing frogs of paralysis using embryonic stem cells:

You can continue to spout your lies, but it will be in the face of the
truth. If left up to stupid fucks like you, prayer chants would still be
used to cure diseases and we'd be living in the Dark Ages.
MothaFUCK you're stupid. You are a hate-filled fucktard that is oblivious to
facts, and disgustingly proud of it.
