"Two Republicans, one from the Senate and one from the
House, are introducing what they call a "major new piece
of pro-life legislation."
"Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.) and Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.)
were holding a press conference Thursday morning to
discuss the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act.
"The legislation would require abortionists ending preg-
nancies beyond the 20th week to inform the mother about
the pain the unborn baby would feel during the abortion
- and to give the mother the option of having pain-killers
administered directly to the unborn baby.
"According to the National Right to Life Committee (one
of the bill's main supporters), a Zogby poll conducted
in April found that 77 percent of Americans support
'laws requiring that women who are 20 weeks or more
along in their pregnancy be given information about
fetal pain before having an abortion.'"

So far, many Pro-Abortionsists continue to deny
fetuses might feel pain during abortions despite
growing medical evidence to the contrary.

================================
Pain? If that's the latest issue then give the zygote/fetus a painkiller.
If the woman is under some form of anesthesia the fetus is as well. It
can't and wont feel anything either. That's a pretty weak argument to stop
abortions.

FP....
Do they also warn women of the dangers of term pregnancy and
birth?.......like:

Gee, another couple Republicans demanding that women be lied to.
Seems to be S.O.P. for Republicans these days.
