US lags even in internet advancements ALREADY! |
While people sit around here acting as if same-sex marriages and abortion on
demand are important basic rights, which they aren't, the people of the USA
are subjected to the greed machine of wall street and a lackadaisical
government and judiciary whihch has forgotten their roles.
Yes, the USA sucks.
The people are neglected for the benefit of the corporations and other
individuals and groups.
Bye, bye USA.
It is easy to say "Bye, bye" because I see you fading away.

It appears he thinks that if many Americans don't want to spend
$39.95/mo. so they can check their spam every 3 days, then America is
dying. How he reaches that conclusion, I have no idea.
The U.S. has about 150 million internet users, and about half of the
homes connected to the web are broadband. Approximately 30% of all
internet users worldwide are American.

Neither does he, but that's belaboring the obvious.

It's funny how I'm not spending $40 a month so I can check my mail, and
SpamAssassin does a decent job of winnowing out the garbage, and what slips
through it is recognizable enough. Such are the advantages of having had
access for the last sixteen years - and learning how to deal with spam.

Those last sixteen years just cover the Internet access - I was online on a
few Fidonet BBS echoes (Zone 1, Net 106, anyone?) for six years before that...
