USSC Nominee has met the challenge and is the right choice |
Got to give Bush credit, he nominated someone that I think both sides
can agree with. John Roberts is a man that will not allow his own
personal views intefere with his job as a Supreme Court Judge, if he
should get the position.
I am sure that liberals and Democrats are going to try and bash him,
that's politics.
But one thing that impressed me about Roberts.
He is of course, pro-life. He has stated this clearly.
You see it in this newsgroup all the time, the true anti-choice people,
those who are pro-abortion and can't accept someone else's choice to
oppose abortion, always ask, "how many children have you adopted".
John Roberts and his wife adopted two children.
I don't know all of Robert's view points, like most Americans I will
evaluate them and make my own judgement. But so far, I like what I see
and I like the fact that Roberts will not allow his own personal bias
to conflict with his duties..if he should get the position.
I also like the fact that although he is against abortion, he has
adopted. That says a lot already and will most likely shut up the
critics who go around asking people how many children they adopted.
