Object: Vatican: Punish clients of prostitution
Once again, the RCC is in the forefront in the battle to protect women
from the evils of liberal feminism. No doubt those arrested as johns
identify themselves as egalitarians; always ready to defend these
women's rights to "support themselves and explore their sexuality". The
Catholic Church cares for women, physically, spiritually, and
emotionally. Dignity is a right, prostitution isn't. Prosecute these
customers to fullest extent of the law.

Vatican: Punish clients of prostitution, pass laws to protect women
from 'slavery'
VATICAN CITY - The Vatican called Monday for laws that punish clients
of prostitutes as well as laws to protect women from what it called a
"modern form of slavery."
The recommendations stemmed from a two-day symposium on prostitution
and human trafficking the Vatican's office for migrants and itinerants
hosted in June.
In the document, the Vatican called for the clients of prostitutes to
be punished, since they fuel the industry.
In addition, women forced into prostitution must be protected by the
law because they are victims of violence and exploitation and have had
their fundamental human rights violated, it said.
"Prostitution is a modern form of slavery," it said, adding that
prostitution and human trafficking were both acts of violence against
women.

What a joke. Pro-Choicers see women as baby machines. That is why they are
for abortion on demand, and not for caring for women in whole.

Evidently, there's no such thing as pro-choice parents on whatever planet you
were deported here from.

Pro-Choice includes the fetal body parts business.

Why would pro-choicers include something that doesn't exist except in your
defective imagination?

Pro-Choice views women are incubators for their revenue machine.

....even if an abortion only costs as little as two percent of what a
childbirth routinely costs.

When you realize that Pro-Choice is using women for the enrichment of
abortionists and fetal body parts merchants and fetal body disintegration,

Indeed...you're whining at those who won't just bend over and let YOU drive.

There's another word for people who believe in the rhythm method: parents.

That's hardly caring for them.

You obviously do NOT love women in whole or children enough to be able to
make that statement.

97.5 on the irony meter.

The evidence of a lack of care and love in is Pro-Choice.

Like I said, you obviously don't have pro-choice parents on whatever planet
exiled you.

The evidence of a sexist, immoral, unfaithful agenda is in Pro-Choice.

The evidence of mental illness is all over your babbling.

# Will the RC Church will support these woman until they die, OD or get

Will you?

You're the clown demanding that the RCC gets its wishes...if they're so
goddamned interested, let them do their own work instead of effectively
demanding peonage for women.

Who gets to support them?

Have you ever heard of the concept "one for all and all for one"?

So you're a socialist? What a surprise. No wonder I'm a libertarian.

Have you forgotten E pluribus Unum?

You never understood it in the first place.

The recommendations stemmed from a two-day symposium on prostitution
and human trafficking the Vatican's office for migrants and itinerants
hosted in June.

# Any woman forced in to prostitution should live to see the man/woman who

Why? Are you living in your situation because of what your parents did to
you?

In the document, the Vatican called for the clients of prostitutes to
be punished, since they fuel the industry.

# Yes, lets put them in prison at $35,000 each, per year.

Your idea?

Your inability to understand what he stated - that us taxpayers are footing
that bill for housing prisoners.

In addition, women forced into prostitution must be protected by the

their fundamental human rights violated, it said.

In Ireland there used to be institutions call "Magdalenes" which did exactly

state supposedly taking over the problem of supporting these women

I've read about those places. They should not have just been closed but
the people in the church responsible for them should have been prosecuted...

Its not necessarily miserable. In countries where prostitution is
legal the women have police protection and can employ a man to get
customers for them rather than the other way round.
Furthermore in a legalised situation, the business can be run like a
club, which only accepts members if they treat the women as they like
to be treated and are found by the women to be sufficiently
attractive.
If the women are free to choose their customers everyone can have a
great time.

Vatican: Punish clients of prostitution, pass laws to protect women
from 'slavery'

VATICAN CITY - The Vatican called Monday for laws that punish clients
of prostitutes as well as laws to protect women from what it called a
"modern form of slavery."

Here we have the usual patently false assertion that all prostitution
is involuntary and thus slavery.

The recommendations stemmed from a two-day symposium on prostitution
and human trafficking the Vatican's office for migrants and itinerants
hosted in June.

Once again, all prostitution is falsely equated to human trafficking.

In the document, the Vatican called for the clients of prostitutes to
be punished, since they fuel the industry.

As if this isn't already done in most countries.

In addition, women forced into prostitution must be protected by the
law because they are victims of violence and exploitation and have had
their fundamental human rights violated, it said.

Anyone forced into anything should be protected by the law. The
handwringing about prostitution is just more Vatican posturing.

"Prostitution is a modern form of slavery," it said, ...

Here we go again! Not a word that recognises that prostitution can be
and often is a totally voluntary choice.

... adding that
prostitution and human trafficking were both acts of violence against
women.

So they say -- without qualification and without an iota of support.
Laws should ensure that ALL forms of work are voluntary chosen.
Laws should also ensure that recruitment into ANY form of work is
honest: i.e., that the job exists and that the conditions of employment
are accurately described.
I'm particularly amused, and sourly so, by the term 'human
trafficking.' It's only applied to recruitment for jobs the Vatican
doesn't like. It's OK to tell an unemployed individual in a poor
country that comparatively well paying jobs as mason apprentices (back
breaking hard work that reduces longevity) exist in a rich country and
to finance the individual's relocation. But if the job is something
the moralists don't like, well then it's 'human trafficking.'
The whole article is bullpucky, as was J. Young's introduction.
Pfffffffffffffffffttttt!!!

Once again, the RCC is in the forefront in the battle to protect women
from the evils of liberal feminism. No doubt those arrested as johns
identify themselves as egalitarians; always ready to defend these

"Prostitution is a modern form of slavery," it said, adding that
prostitution and human trafficking were both acts of violence against
women.

Working in corrections and working in a receiving room, I have seen
hundreds of prostitutes come through. They do not look like the kind
of women you see on the T.V.. Most of them are drug addicts, heroine
is one of the drugs of choice. Most of them are nasty, they talk
nasty, they act nasty...that's the only word I can think of..nasty.
Some of them do want help but don't know where to go.
One of the biggest problems are the men who pay for sex. They have no
idea what they are contributing too. Often times their money is cycled
into organized crime and drugs.
If anything, we should be trying to help these women get off the
streets and get off the drugs.
