At eight weeks gestation, this foetus is able to kick and straighten
his legs, turn them round and move his arms up and down.

2 of 10
At ten weeks gestation, this foetus can move her arms and legs with a
range of movements that are fluid and supple.

3 of 10
At 22 weeks gestation babies are capable of fine hand and finger
movements. In a short space of time this baby scratches, rubs and pats
his cheek before doing the same to his nose.

4 of 10
This foetus exhibits behaviour identical to what he will do after
birth,. If he's held upright on a flat surface he will try and move
forward.

5 of 10
This baby's brain has developed sufficiently to enable him apparently
to sense the other parts of his body. He can bring his fingertips
together so they touch.

6 of 10
From about 24 weeks of pregnancy when retinal development is complete,
babies open and close their eyes intermittently. This helps a baby to
perfect the blinking reflex, which will protect his eyes once he's
born.

7 of 10
Although grasping begins early it becomes better established during
the last trimester. Babies grasp hands, feet, fingers, toes and, most
commonly, their umbilical cords.

8 of 10
While newborns do not smile until 4-6 weeks after birth, babies in the
uterus do. Maybe because the uterus is warm, comfortable, and shielded
from loud noise and bright light.

9 of 10
Foetuses as young as 11 weeks have been seen with their thumbs in
their mouths. This baby started out sucking his smallest toes and
gradually moves on to suck a bigger and better toe.

10 of 10
Babies produce a motion approximating to yawning from as early as 12
weeks' pregnancy. Maybe this is nature's way of ensuring that as soon
as she enters the world, she'll be able to take her first breath.

Abortion is a legal and available choice for women. Get used to that idea
because it isn't ever going to change no matter how hard you anti-choice

Just the opposite, abortion on demand is an evil

You still haven't told us how YOU plan to enforce monthly

that is negligent homicide -- but, probably not murder.
If a marine shoots an enemy troop during war, that
is homicide but not murder.
If a policewomen shoots and kills a bank robber who
was shooting at her, that is homicide but not murder.

Papa Jack wrote:
Abortion is a good example. The abortionist kills the

courts have prevented the legislatures from including the
homicides in abortion in the legal definitions of murder.

BOB wrote:
And of course you and the other anti-choice loons who post
here know better that [sic] the courts. What a loser.

======================================================================
Papa Jack nodded:
Yep, in this case I feel very confident the Supreme Court
was tragically wrong in Roe v. Wade, Doe v. Bolton, and
the other abortion-related decisions in recent years.

BTW, BOB, calling your opponent names like "loser" only
proves to the reader that you have weak arguments so
you must make up for your lack of facts with silly bluster.

======================================================================

BOB wrote:
Abortion is not a criminal act,...

======================================================================

Papa Jack replied:
Well, that depends on the circumstances. But, you're
right in that most abortions are not considered criminal
acts by our courts -- even though they involve the
premediatated killing of one human being by another
human being.

======================================================================

BOB wrote:
Boy are you stupid...

======================================================================
Papa Jack laughs:
Notice, Gentle Reader, how BOB signals his weakness

======================================================================

BOB wrote:
...Again, the only human being involved in abortion is the

======================================================================
Papa Jack comments:
And we should believe that WHY? Simply because you
asserted it? Since you offer no reputable source,
facts, or even logical argument; it's clear that
you want to win the argument by simply insisting
you are right and stomping your little foot.

======================================================================

BOB wrote:

======================================================================
Papa Jack shook his head:
Now, Gentle Reader, notice how BOB tries to strengthen
his pathetic assertions by calling me a liar and a
deceiver. He has no basis for such name calling, but
that is supposed to make him look macho or something.

Papa Jack wrote:

No surprise here.

======================================================================
Papa Jack asks:
Why are we evil? For trying to stop the mass slaughter
of millions of innocent human beings? What's evil about
that, BOB?
Oh, I forgot -- you don't have to give reasons -- you
just point your all-knowing finger and the opponent is
expected to shrivel and die. [snicker]

The only thing I'm ignoring are your unsupported

I may pay more attention to you.

======================================================================

BOB wrote:

Papa Jack laughed:
That's all you've had for years -- i.e., repeating
the bumper sticker slogans the abortion industry

BOB wrote:

======================================================================
Papa Jack responded:
How about when crowds are slaughtered by earthquakes,
storms, or large fires?

Then, of course, there is the massive slaughter
caused by abortions each year. They are the killing
of large numbers of innocent human beings which are
legal because the courts have blessed them.

The Merriam Webster dictionary

Main Entry: slaugh·ter

1 : the act of killing; specifically : the butchering
of livestock for market
2 : killing of great numbers of human beings (as in
battle or a massacre) : CARNAGE

Look particularly at the second definition: "killing of
great numbers of human beings." That says nothing about
murder -- but, it clearly fits what is happening in
the abortion mills of our nation.

This is getting to be comical, BOB. You state something
over and over and get irritated because I don't just
take your word for it. So far, you've not offered any
proof, evidence, or even any impressive logic.

You clearly don't have a good understanding of the
concepts of debate. You don't win argumens by just
making unsupported assertions.

======================================================================
Papa Jack LOL:
I don't think you understand what I meant by "support,"
In this sense, "support" means to provide with substan-
tiation or corrorboration. You know -- like facts,
expert quotes, or logical arguments.

BTW, you are WRONG about the majority of Americans being
"pro-choice." Go to:
http://www.sba-list.org/index.cfm/section/whatsnew/page/polls_Attitudes.html

A variety of polls clearly show the majority of Americans
would prefer to see abortion more limited than today. Only
a small minority on both sides want to see abotion totally
unlimited or totally illegal. The great majority want to
see reasonable restrictions -- such as banning all late
term abortions, banning partial-birth abortions, or requiring
parental involvement before underage minors get abortions.

======================================================================

Let's see -- you're saying dictionaries don't "hold
water" when it comes to defining words.

I used:
* Merriam Webster dictionary

* American Heritage Dictionary
