Watergate II |
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Justice Department has exaggerated its
performance in the war on terrorism, interfered with a major terror
prosecution and compromised a confidential informant, a federal
prosecutor has alleged in an extraordinary lawsuit against Attorney
General John Ashcroft.
<http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/02/18/ashcroft.sued.ap/index.html>
At what point will impeachment proceedings be brought against George W.
Bush and his cronies? When do we, as Americans, say enough is enough?
This whole fiasco reminds me of Watergate and Nixon's desire to get
back at those on his enemies list. Is there any doubt that the Bush
administration is abusing their authority?
IMPEACH!

When will Bush be impeached? That's an easy question. With Republicans
in the majority, Bush will never be impeached so don't even think about
it. I for one do think Bush should be impeached.

I agree. And this IS beginning to look like Watergate. In Watergate,
high level officials, as here, began to find themselves in legal
troubles. Eventually, what everyone suspected came true. It was the
President.

The real Watergate in the Bush administration is allowing crooks from
Enron to form federal energy policy then hiding all evidence of it. This
is why Cheney refuses to divulge documents to the non-partisan Judicial
Watch group, even after being ordered by a court to do so.
