Depends on who you talk too. If I am talking to a reasonable person, I
acknowledge Clinton's role and his successes. If I am talking to an
unreasonable person, such as many liberals in here, then I play the game.
In other words, I give back what others like you dish out.
Clinton was a good president in some areas. In others he was weak. I liked
Clinton during his first term, I admired his ability to work well with both
parties. Once he became a lame duck president though, I did not like his
actions.

Sure. You mean, like the largest increase in the stock market value
in history? More people working than at any time in history. Crime
at record lows. Abortion rate down? Teen pregnancy down? Yup, we
Democrats sure accomplish nothing.
And none of those are due solely to Democrats.
So when you can be honest about it, let me know.

So, how come Bush gets credit from you for a good economy, but
Clinton does not?
Depends on who you talk too. If I am talking to a reasonable person, I
acknowledge Clinton's role and his successes. If I am talking to an
unreasonable person, such as many liberals in here, then I play the game.
In other words, I give back what others like you dish out.

Clinton was a good president in some areas. In others he was weak. I liked
Clinton during his first term, I admired his ability to work well with both
parties. Once he became a lame duck president though, I did not like his
actions.

I've often wondered about a person's ability to serve the country while
trying to get elected. All candidates miss a lot of office time while
campaigning. I've often thought that a candidate should be required to
resign any current offices held if they wish to run for another office.
I can understand incumbents retaining their positions, as part of
anyone's job is to still have a job tomorrow, but holding a lower office
while campaigning for a higher one should not be allowed.
Imagine if you missed 70% of your work this year because you were out
looking for better work elsewhere - think you'd still have a job?

And that is my whole point. Why should we trust someone who has sat in
office for 20 years and not done very much? We know he has tried to
seriously slash the military, he has flipped on many issues, the man doesn't
lead..he goes by what the polls say. He is not a strong leader.
Which is why I can't trust him, especially with the seriousness of this war.
We need a leader!!
Now Bush may not be a Ronald Reagan, and he may not have the salesman like
qualities Clinton had, but he is better than Kerry in my opinion.

Not really sure. I know Kerry's record since he started campaigning has
been abysmal, but what's glaring to me is the apparent lack of impact
he's had in 20 years... 20 years! Give Joe Citizen 20 years on the same
job and he'll be able to run show, give Kerry 20 years and he's
struggling to find 5 bills of his that actually became law. Pathetic.
(not that Bush's 4 years has been better, but we aren't talking about him)
