just linked. The "Internet" grew out of a military decentralization
project from the 60s. The World Wide Web grew out of a scientific
information-sharing tool developed for a European particle physics lab
based in Switzerland, in 1990. They're two utterly different concepts,
one built on the other.

Really? So why isn't Cheney willing to release his papers regarding this
meeting with Enron people when he conferred with them to form federal
energy policy? What has Cheney got to hide? Why did Bush initially
oppose the 9/11 commission? What does Bush fear? Bush/Cheney have a lot
of skeletons they do not want people to see.
Private meetings with business people are considered non-public in this
case. If the trust given to those executives was abused then politicians
would not likely get any meetings set up. Bush fears naught and Cheney is
hiding nothing. Bush thought quite properly that it was an improper action
during an election year, just as the entire congress thought it best that
Pearl Harbor be investigated after the war ended>

Where's the BS?
It would be a very bad precedent and it would cause businessmen who have
something to offer to shy away from sharing it with officials. Cheney
and his lawyers have clearly stated that and it has a lot of merit.
