Why do STUPID LIBERALS think Kerry is better than Bush? |
If elected, Kerry won't end the war in Iraq. If anything Kerry will
bring back the draft.
If elected, Kerry won't get rid of the Patriot Act.
John Kerry is against abortion.
John Kerry is against gay marriage.
John Kerry supports Israel just as much as Bush does.
John Kerry is a Bonesman just like Bush.
Yet stupid-***** liberals still pretend Kerry is somehow better than
Bush. Liberals blindly insult Bush and blindly praise Kerry, even
though there is no difference between them. Why?

An unarmed deer...oh brother..are you another bambi lover?
You do realize that hunters do help the deer in the long run don't

Nice try at changing the subject. I have nothing against hunting deer,
or other animals. But, do you really need an AK-47 to hunt deer? If
you use one, will there be anything left of the deer to eat?
I enjoy deer hash, so I hunt with a bazooka... no worries about precise
aim, so I can still hunt even while drunk...
An AK-47 is not a form of bazooka. Still no reason to allow those for
hunting.
Why not? It's ultimately just a rifle.
I'll admit that my understanding of the AK-47 comes mostly as a result
of watching a TV documentary that had Anatoly Kalashnikov meeting with
and talking to the guy (forgot his name) who designed the M-16, but I
remember that one of the design specs was that it would be easily
maintainable, at the expense of accuracy. The M-16 was designed to be
used by a professional soldier, and so was designed to require more
maintenance, but perform at a higher level, better, more accurate shots.
So, using an AK-47 for deer hunting would not be appropriate, unless you
were hoping to give the deer a sporting chance.
I had an AK47. Used to take it to the range all the time. It's not that
inaccurate. I could bench-shoot a three-inch group at 100 yards That's
certainly good enough for hunting.

Yes. Ultimately, the AK47s available for sale in the USA are simply
rifles. Each time you pull the trigger, you get one shot. One shot will
usually bring down a deer.

Edwin. Those were FULLY AUTOMATIC. The ones you were allowed to buy here
in the USA were not fully automatic and could not be made fully
automatic without lots of machine work and some 'left-out' parts which
were difficult to obtain. There are a number of legal guns which are
just EXACTLY like a consumer grade M-16 or AK47 such as the Ruger
Mini-14 and Ruger Mini-30 which are far easier to convert to fully
automatic than the castrated versions of either of these military
weapons. The entire assault weapon ban was, in my opinion, just a lot of
political hot-air. "We're making the world safer by outlawing assault
rifles." I'd just like to ask one of the legislators who introduced that
bill to explain to me the difference between a consumer AK47 and a Ruger
Mini-Thirty. I'll guarantee that they can't!

No, he probably doesn't. Most liberals see hunting = guns = bad and look
no further. They don't see that controlled hunting comes under the
heading of wildlife management and is designed to keep animal
populations down to a sustainable level to insure a healthy population
of animals and to cut down on over grazing.

Tell me exactly, what need DOES Joe Sixpack Average Citizen have for a
rifle with a 30-40 round clip that'll fire full auto? Home protection? A
pump shotgun is far better for that. Hunting? That's a chickenshit way
to go up against an unarmed deer.
Some people do collect guns, and they enter competitions. And yes, in many
competitions, rifles are used.
An unarmed deer...oh brother..are you another bambi lover?
You do realize that hunters do help the deer in the long run don't you?
No, he probably doesn't. Most liberals see hunting = guns = bad and look
no further. They don't see that controlled hunting comes under the
heading of wildlife management and is designed to keep animal
populations down to a sustainable level to insure a healthy population
of animals and to cut down on over grazing.
It's hard to swallow the idea that hunters hunt because they care deeply
about wildlife management or ensuring a healthy animal population. I
have yet to meet a hunter who fits that billing.

Typically fuzzy liberal thinking. Hunters hunt because they ENJOY IT.
The various state governments allow hunters to hunt in controlled
circumstances because it helps them with wildlife management. If they
banned hunting, the game department would have to go out and kill these
animals themselves. Many hunters are probably unaware that they are
providing the state a service and the rest likely don't care. Thing is,
they don't have to either know or care because this is a case where
differing agendas result in a mutually beneficial result.

Well, I suppose that's all right then. Who am I to say who gets to keep

Nooooo!! Not a bambi lover, although if I see someone kill something and
not take it home to eat it, I'm going to give him a knife and fork and

Yeah, I much prefer population control to hearing reports of deer dying
for lack of good forage. The only thing that bugs me a little, is the
hunters always go for the biggest, most gorgeous deer, and that only
leaves the little weak ones to breed, which is going to be a problem if
they keep it up. Thin the herd but leave some big healthy ones so
there'll be lots more big healthy ones later. Eugenics are us.

It is true.
The problem is, the people and how are we going to address that?
You can ban all kinds of things, it isn't going to stop people who have

zero.

I agree. In Delaware they have promoted hunting for doe. They now require
that hunters buy tags for bucks on top of paying the fee for a hunting
license.
The deer population here in Delaware is very large.

Exactly
Nukes for everyone. Yea!
I've got a few extras if you need one.
I need a lot more than one for the 'bonfire' I have in mind...

Absolutely! It's those little metal things that come out of the guns that
kill people.

Cite? And how pray tell would John Kerry get THAT past Congress?
I imagine the same way he got the "assault weapon" (whatever that is)
ban through congress in 1992-3 (passed 1994).
Kerry did that all by himself huh?
Tell me exactly, what need DOES Joe Sixpack Average Citizen have for a
rifle with a 30-40 round clip that'll fire full auto? Home protection? A
pump shotgun is far better for that. Hunting? That's a chickenshit way
to go up against an unarmed deer.
First of all, the 'assault weapons' for sale to the public were NOT full
automatic. They had the part that allowed for automatic firing either
removed or modified to defeat that functionality. It has been illegal
for US residents to own automatic weapons since the 1930's. Secondly, an
AK47 or an M16 is a nice, interesting weapon and fun to shoot. The way
that they were sold they would fire only one round at a time, just like
my Ruger 10-22 rifle. Yet my 10-22 is legal, and an AK47 is not. Makes
loads of sense.

AK's have a different sear AIRC. The drawings for the full auto one
are readily available and easily made by any machinist.
It has been illegal
for US residents to own automatic weapons since the 1930's.
Actually it was never made illegal. Its not illegal now. You have to
pass a background screening by the FBI and a few other things that
will cost you $500 the last time I looked into it but it can be done.
George Bush the Elder made some changes to the process that made it a
lot harder to get one which is one of the reasons I didn't vote for
the SOB.
