parents were Germans of Jewish heritage, but converted to Lutherianism.
Engels family were German Protestants. Both men grew up in German states in
the early 1800s. It was the German government in WW1 that sent Lenin back
to Russia to forment trouble, and this helped bring about the Bolshevik
Revolution. Ergo, if we were to follow the illogical course of people like
you then Communism is the fault of Germans as a collective, instead of the
fault of the individuals who created it, and the individuals who claimed to
be promoting its tenants, no matter how distorted this might actually have
been. Fortunately most of us are not that illogical.

The Soviet Union was never defeated in war. Nazi Germany was. That is
probably the big difference.

The NAZI party was the governing party of a country that went to war
with the US (among others) and lost. They were hunted as war
criminals and when located tried in court and if convicted punished.

No such war occurred between any country controlled by the Communist
party and the US or any other country. If located what would you do?
Try them in court? For what?
