Women Seeking Abortions Denied Personhood |

Women Seeking Abortions." Go to:

Excerpts:
According to a law scheduled to come into effect this Saturday,
women entering abortion clinics in San Francisco are not persons.
The ordinance, Section 4302 of the Police Code, was passed last
month by the Board of Supervisors to restrict the free speech
rights of sidewalk counselors seeking to educate women about the
abortion and alternatives to abortion.
In their zeal to penalize and chill pro-lifers, the supervisors,
their attorneys, and local abortion advocates paid insufficient
attention to plain English. The result is an ordinance that is
nonsensical, according to Life Legal Defense Foundation.
In defining its terms, the ordinance states that the term "person"
encompasses virtually every individual or combination of individ-
uals, but does not include "an individual seeking access to, passage
from, or services within a health care facility." ("Health care
facility" refers solely to facilities providing reproductive health
care services.)
But in defining the offense, the ordinance prohibits "a person
knowingly approach(ing) another person within eight feet of such
person unless such other person consents, for the purpose of passing
a leaflet or handbill to, displaying a sign to, or engaging in oral
protest, education or counseling with such other person." Thus, the
ordinance criminalizes uninvited approaches of anyone except individ-
uals seeking to enter or exit an abortion clinic.
"It's hilarious," says Katie Short, legal director of Life Legal
Defense Foundation. "If you walk up and hand a leaflet to someone
who is just walking down the street past an abortion clinic, you
risk three months in jail and a hefty fine. But if you approach a
woman who is actually going into the clinic, the ordinance doesn't
apply."

What the definitions actually do is draw a distinction between those
seeking to approach people entering/leaving the health facility, and
those seeking to enter leave the health facility.
In other words two people both entering/leaving the facility don't need
to keep the distance between them, and aren't prohibited from talking to
each other, handing each other things etc.
Your silly pretence doesn't work, PJ... as per usual! ;-))

Ah yes, the Pro-Lifers are incapable of quoting or understanding the
"For purposes of this Article..." which precedes that definition. Nor
are they capable of understanding that the persons excluded from that
article are those with legitimate business and that they are refered
to as 'individuals' in that article.
They laugh at their own ignorance and stupidity.

Amazing. So called 'pro-lifers' have been trying to deny women their
personhood for years - now you exaggerate a situation so you can say
it's happened, and you actually have the bald-faced gall to claim to
regret it.

Isn't it interesting how men will pretend to be all interested in
defending women's rights so long as their rights include the one that
lets them ***** without consequence. Imagine what men would say if
abortion were declared illegal again. Worse, what would men say if 90%
of all women out there decided to oppose abortion. Well my guess is
that men like Adam would turn to each other and say "Well the other 10%
still believe in abortion. Let's go ***** them!"

attention to plain English.
But if you approach a
woman who is actually going into the clinic, the ordinance doesn't
apply."

What are you, five? I notice that you still can't produce even one

I understand your fear of being exposed as supporters of abortion only

Run away, little girl. Now, where and when was abortion murder?

Isn't it interesting how men will pretend to

lets them ***** without consequence.
Which one is that? Plain BIOLOGY?
Men have been fucking for MILLENIA without
consequence. Abortion has gone from legal to
illegal and back to legal without affecting
the ability of men to ***** without consequence.
Men are only without consequence when society allows them to be so.
Whether or not a woman has a right to a legal
abortion, men will continue to ***** without
consequence.
Hmmm. So aside from the increasing prevelance of STDs, if society
really decided to crack down on male philandering, men will still have
no consequence?
Child support? Yes, in THEORY, this is a
consequence. In practice, however, child
support is rarely collected, and sometimes
from someone who didn't even do the original
fucking.
It is rarely collected because of two reasons: lack of significant
funding and unwillingness on the part of women to go after the father.
And there are plenty of ways to avoid the
possible consequences of fucking. Coercion,
date rape drugs, and even roll on a condom.
A condom is acceptable.
And because pregnancy is only ever a problem
to WOMEN, men have no real NEED for abortion
to be legal. If the woman wants an abortion,
for whatever reason (to keep her job, stay in
college, save her health and/or life), its
up to the woman to arrange the abortion.
Pregnancy is not a problem for those men who do not wish to take
responsibility for THEIR actions.
This is all what can be done, and what men
have done for millenia, in addition to
basic biology, to avoid becoming pregnant
and to avoid having any pregnancy become
their problem. They've always trusted in
the fact that women will jump through all
kinds of hoops to remain EQUAL to men:
EQUAL in that having sex does not result
in having to take nine months out of their
lives to bear offspring.
I think you're mistaken. Men have always trusted that women will jump
through all sorts of hoops to keep their man, no matter what those hoops
may be.
Most men are remarkably oblivious to women and
women's problems.
Granted.
Imagine what men would say if abortion were
declared illegal again.
No skin off any man's nose. Again, pregnancy
is and always has been the WOMAN'S PROBLEM.
I completely disagree. A child needs two parents, and both mates should
be involved with their little accident. You are simply trying to excuse
repugnant behavior by blaming it on biology, which, unlike in the animal
world, can be in many cases overcome by humans.
If she gets pregnant, staying pregnant is
frequently not something the woman wants to
do. A pregnancy interferes with EVERYTHING
in a woman's life. Abortion's legal status
is frequently not an issue in whether or not
a woman will obtain one or not.
Then the woman should learn to either double-click her mouse (yes, I saw
American Pie), insist of using birth control or ensuring her man gets no
love without his glove, or simply wait for a committed "sensible and
fair-minded" man to come along.
So "what men would say if abortion were
declared illegal" ("again" doesn't apply,
abortion started off legal when the U.S.A.
was founded, and has remained generally
legal ever since) is most likely: "Huh."
And then they'd go back to careless fucking.
Until things started catching up with them.
Worse, what would men say if 90% of all women
out there decided to oppose abortion.
Not gonna happen. You'd have to get rid of
compulsory education first, at least for women.
We already have compulsory education, and our high school graduates are
dumber than junior high students in private schools.
After all, name a culture which has completely,
or nearly completely, banned abortion, and
you've just named a culture which declares that
WOMEN ARE UNDESERVING OF RIGHTS.
How so? Taking away her right to commit murder does not mean they lose
their other rights.
So get rid of compulsory education for women.
Once they can't READ, they'll be ripe for the
type of culture that bans women's rights, among
them abortion.
Oh *****. How then do you explain (again I ask) that the early
feminists were pro-life? Or that Betty Friedan didn't consider abortion
to be a major issue in the beginning, and did not change her mind until
a MAN persuaded her to?
Repeoductive control being taken away from the
individual and being controlled by the state.
Not from men, of course, but only from women.
Gender-biased EUGENICS in action.
Well my guess is that men like Adam would
turn to each other and say "Well the other
10% still believe in abortion. Let's go
***** them!"
Or they'd just make use of the methods men
have used throughout the ages to avoid any
consequences from having sex.
Another time-tested method of 100% perfect
birth control in married couples, while having
all the sex you want, is when the husband has
sex with prostitutes. The wife remains 100%
pregnancy-free, making the method 100% perfect
birth control. The prostitutes would have to
admit to committing a crime in order to make
demands for child support, and in any case they
already belong to the vast black market into
which abortion will likely pass if it is ever
made illegal (heh).
Well you have a point, but the women still suffer when their husbands
give them the gift of herpes they got from Marsha down on the street
corner.
Yet another time-tested method of avoiding all
consequences of sex is to have sex with someone
you have power over. Blackmail and coercion
come to mind.
Fucking the maid was a classic Victorian-era
method of avoiding all consequences of sex,
and its benefit continues especially in modern
times: there's a good chance that any maid
*you* can afford will be an illegal immigrant
with forged paperwork. Say things like you
have the I.N.S. phone number, and the maid
will be stripping off her clothes and fucking
you in an instant. Then she'll go find her
own abortion if she needs one, since she'll
lose her job if she gets pregnant and can't
work.
Another classic Victorian-era custom was the
concept of "accidental smothering". When a
maid got pregnant, often from fucking the
master of the house, and was unable to locate
an abortion provider, she'd continue to term
within the house. If she happened to be
working for a master who was sympathetic,
she would give birth. Then to save the child
from the horrors of the orphanages and the
workhouses, one day she'd be in mourning
because, since she couldn't afford a crib,
she had "accidentally smothered" her child
while they slept together in the same bed.
Of course, this is entirely false. A woman
has to be drunk or drugged in order to
"accidentally smother" a child she is
sleeping with in the same bed.
Um, you are wrong here, dude. There are legit cases of parents
smothering their babies, which is why they're told not to sleep with
them in bed.
Of course, this same anti-abortion culture
thought that Victorian men shouldn't have
to put up with any mess on the wedding
night. So parents from upper class families
would hire "deflowering" services to have
their daughters' hymens broken, anywhere
from age 9 to age 13. The guys in the
"deflowering" service didn't use tools and
certainly weren't doctors. They used their
own penises to accomplish the "deflowering",
or legalized child rape. Yes, this sometimes
resulted in a very early pregnancy, but you
never blamed the deflowering service for
"doing their jobs."
Yet another example of how an anti-abortion
culture frequently views women as second-class
citizens. The Victorian period was anti-abortion
and anti-women. When a culture says it respects
women so much that it won't let them have any
freedoms, chances are its also anti-abortion.
So when a culture forbids abortion but allows women every other freedom,
what does that make it?
Yet another method of avoiding consequences of
sex is to have sex only with women in some class
of "undesireables". The usual form of this
is legally called "rape", but usually it never
goes to trial. The victim remains mute because
who is going to believe the word of an
"undesireable" over the word of an "upstanding
member of the community"?
If it goes to trial, it depends on the culture
and the victim. In Nigeria, a man who rapes a
woman away from witnesses gets away scot free,
and if the woman is unable to produce at least
two male witnesses, she in turn is charged with
"making a false accusation of rape" which
carries the death penalty. This is also the
culture which engages in clitorindectomies; and
sews women's vaginas shut, to be ripped open on
the wedding night.
Here in America, a man who chooses his victim
carefully can use her past sexual history and
any past history he has with the victim to
argue "consensual sex". Then he uses the
techniques used by all the men who avoid child
support, to avoid child support.
Men have never had to deal with consequences of
sex unless they felt like doing so. They took
the basic biological difference and ran with it.

Men have been fucking for MILLENIA without

the ability of men to ***** without consequence.
Men are only without consequence when society allows them to be so.
Did you miss the fact that society has always let them be so? And that
when you call women who are sexually active outside marriage or
whatever restricted circumstance you think is proper whores and sluts,
you encourage that license for men to do what they want? Put your
money where your mouth is and don't punish women for men's failures.
Whether or not a woman has a right to a legal
abortion, men will continue to ***** without
consequence.
Hmmm. So aside from the increasing prevelance of STDs, if society
really decided to crack down on male philandering, men will still have
no consequence?
This concept might be new to you: FEMINISM. That's what's trying to
crack down on male philandering, not repressive sexists like you.
People like you are who created the problem to start with. Take some
of the credit - you earnt it.
Many men won't care if someone gets pregnant, as long as they get
laid. They don't give a ***** about what happens to the fetus, because
they're long gone. They don't care if it lives or dies. Hence, men
will continue to ***** without a consequence regardless of whether
abortion is legal or not. It's the woman's problem.
Child support? Yes, in THEORY, this is a
consequence. In practice, however, child
support is rarely collected, and sometimes

It is rarely collected because of two reasons: lack of significant
funding and unwillingness on the part of women to go after the father.
And there are plenty of ways to avoid the
possible consequences of fucking. Coercion,
date rape drugs, and even roll on a condom.
A condom is acceptable.
Haven't heard you be too concerned with women's welfare so far, why
start now? We're all sluts and whores anyway, what does it matter if
we get raped or coerced? After all, you want to coerce people into
doing things they don't want too, and you want it to be law. And you
DO realize that nasty things happen, don't you? They may not be right,
but they happen, and pretending they don't makes women suffer EVEN
MORE. If your daughter were an A student, but got really drunk at a
party and came sobbing to you the next day that she'd been raped, and
people's response when she was pregnant was "The ***** should have kept
her legs shut! She has to drop out of high school and take the
consequences of sex!" would you quietly accept that they should have
used a condom? No. You'd want the guy's head on a platter. For good
reason.
Are you seriously claiming most men have, in the past? Are you
claiming that women have had enough independence to tell an unjust man
to ***** and get justice? The only reason women have as much
independence as they do, for you to call on in a sexist argument, is
FEMINISM. No thanks to your disgusting ilk.
Women died in childbirth a lot in part because the human physique
cannot be constantly pregnant. What recourse did a woman have in the
past against abusive husbands? Marital rape? Women were POSSESSIONS.
(Which Cristianity condoned and said was God's intent, by the way.
Don't think for a moment that your arguments against abortion are any
different.)
This is all what can be done, and what men
have done for millenia, in addition to
basic biology, to avoid becoming pregnant
and to avoid having any pregnancy become
their problem. They've always trusted in
the fact that women will jump through all

in having to take nine months out of their

I think you're mistaken. Men have always trusted that women will jump
through all sorts of hoops to keep their man, no matter what those hoops
may be.
You make it sound like women had a choice. If you had no money, no
power, no social status, and weren't a legal adult despite having
raised five children, would you describe your need to get your
provider to help you as something silly and stupid? You REALLY don't
get this at all, do you? That's why there is feminism. To let women do
what they want without asking for permission from men. Except you want
to make us ask you for your precious twisted opinion again.
Most men are remarkably oblivious to women and
women's problems.
Granted.
You are an excellent example, and I'm quite sure you have no idea of
that you are.
You missed the point. Guy coerces girl into sex - Girl gets pregnant -
Guy runs off, ditching girl with baby is NOT - repeat, NOT - the
ideal! But it has happened OVER AND OVER AND OVER. AND IT'S **ALL**
THE WOMAN'S PROBLEM THEN! If people were perfect, we wouldn't needs
laws in the first place.
If she gets pregnant, staying pregnant is
frequently not something the woman wants to
do. A pregnancy interferes with EVERYTHING
in a woman's life. Abortion's legal status
is frequently not an issue in whether or not
a woman will obtain one or not.
Then the woman should learn to either double-click her mouse (yes, I saw
American Pie), insist of using birth control or ensuring her man gets no

And what about birth control faliure or rape?
So "what men would say if abortion were
declared illegal" ("again" doesn't apply,
abortion started off legal when the U.S.A.
was founded, and has remained generally
legal ever since) is most likely: "Huh."
And then they'd go back to careless fucking.
Until things started catching up with them.
Um, it hasn't. Responsibility in populations isn't a pre-determined
function of time. Men have left women stuck with babies UNTIL
contraception and abortion became medically safe. Women had to seek
out the relief themselves, AGAINST the opposition from people like
you.
Worse, what would men say if 90% of all women
out there decided to oppose abortion.
Not gonna happen. You'd have to get rid of

There is no right to commit murder, but there is a right to bodily
sovereignity. I am not a life support machine. You have no right to
make me act like one. I also have a right to control my reproduction,
and to be treated equally with men. None of which you probably
support. Unfortunately for you, these are, in fact, my rights.
So get rid of compulsory education for women.
Once they can't READ, they'll be ripe for the
type of culture that bans women's rights, among
them abortion.
Oh *****. How then do you explain (again I ask) that the early
feminists were pro-life?
How do you explain that later feminists mostly are pro-choice? Are you
implying that only the early feminists were right? If you are, please
present the argument. This is a complex question fallacy.
Or that Betty Friedan didn't consider abortion
to be a major issue in the beginning, and did not change her mind until
a MAN persuaded her to?
The relevance being?
Repeoductive control being taken away from the
individual and being controlled by the state.
Not from men, of course, but only from women.
Gender-biased EUGENICS in action.
Well my guess is that men like Adam would

Not only does he have a point, he's got a MAJOR point. Look, just face
it - men have been quite the assholes in the past and enough still are
to make this a BIG problem for women. Men go ***** whoever they want,
whenever they want, and that's fine. Women ***** someone once, and
they're sluts and whores. Even worse if they get pregnant. You support
that attitude too, with the arguments you make. You are making sure
this continues with every post you write. WOMEN HAVE TO BE IN CHARGE
OF THEIR OWN LIVES TO MAKE THIS STOP. STAY OUT OF OUR BUSINESS. There
are also enough women raised to think that their role is barefoot and
in the kitchen pregnant for you to pick one up. If you really wanted
to stop expoitation of women, you'd be a feminist and pro-choice.
Yet another time-tested method of avoiding all

them in bed.
Yeah, go ahead and avoid the main point here - stigma on female
sexuality and sexual freedom has lead to MUCH MUCH worse things than
your precious abortions. PEOPLE COMMITTED INFANTICIDE AND USED LOTS OF
COERSION TO ***** WITH NO CONSEQUENCES. FEMINISM has helped curb that
idea. FEMINISM has made society say "Oh, women shouldn't have to have
sex if they don't want to, but if they want to, they should be able
to. Just like men." Your bigotry, once again, is trying to foster the
idea that women shouldn't be independent persons.
Of course, this same anti-abortion culture
thought that Victorian men shouldn't have
to put up with any mess on the wedding
night. So parents from upper class families
would hire "deflowering" services to have
their daughters' hymens broken, anywhere
from age 9 to age 13. The guys in the
"deflowering" service didn't use tools and
certainly weren't doctors. They used their
own penises to accomplish the "deflowering",
or legalized child rape. Yes, this sometimes
resulted in a very early pregnancy, but you
never blamed the deflowering service for
"doing their jobs."
Yet another example of how an anti-abortion
culture frequently views women as second-class
citizens. The Victorian period was anti-abortion
and anti-women. When a culture says it respects
women so much that it won't let them have any
freedoms, chances are its also anti-abortion.
So when a culture forbids abortion but allows women every other freedom,
what does that make it?
Inconsistent, with significant remnants of sexism. Repressive, still.
And you're not seriously claiming there's no more sexism, are you?
That could explain your lack of self-examination.
Yet another method of avoiding consequences of
sex is to have sex only with women in some class
of "undesireables". The usual form of this
is legally called "rape", but usually it never
goes to trial. The victim remains mute because
who is going to believe the word of an
"undesireable" over the word of an "upstanding
member of the community"?
If it goes to trial, it depends on the culture
and the victim. In Nigeria, a man who rapes a
woman away from witnesses gets away scot free,
and if the woman is unable to produce at least
two male witnesses, she in turn is charged with
"making a false accusation of rape" which
carries the death penalty. This is also the
culture which engages in clitorindectomies; and
sews women's vaginas shut, to be ripped open on
the wedding night.
Here in America, a man who chooses his victim
carefully can use her past sexual history and
any past history he has with the victim to
argue "consensual sex". Then he uses the
techniques used by all the men who avoid child
support, to avoid child support.
Men have never had to deal with consequences of
sex unless they felt like doing so. They took
the basic biological difference and ran with it.

Easy Ray. You might have a stroke or something.
By quoting Jackass? Nah.
Jackass, as revealed by his own words.
He _claims_ he wants to debate ...
I am always willing to debate,
Papa Jackass in <3380A603.1189@express-news.net>
But whenever challenged he runs away. Maybe he means that only
_other_ people are expected to debate.
Do as I say, not as I do.
Papa Jackass in <31E7BC11.674F@express-news.net>
Jackass is a known liar, but then, he's already pretty much admitted
as much.
When you can't meet someone in honest debate, you run around
spreading total, complete lies about them.
Papa Jackass in <331518B2.3221@express-news.net>
And his typical reaction when he's inevitably revealed to be a liar
and a hypocrite?
K I S S M Y A S S!!!! D I D Y O U U N D E R S T A N D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
W H A T I S A I D? K I S S M Y A S S.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Papa Jackass in <31FFC35F.4D2A@express-news.net>
The question people ask after reading Jackass's contributions?
But WHY do YOU prefer to attack the person rather than the
argument
Papa Jackass in <3213893E.1DD7@express-news.net>
But he's answered that question too.
You have no interest in abortion issues. You are a little boy
running around agitating both sides.
Papa Jackass in <330A415B.2497@express-news.net>
Of course, he needs to pretend to be interested in the debate so that
people just don't ignore him for the amoral old fool that he is.
And so he'll periodically claim that he's interested in debate.
I prefer to discuss things at the adult level,
Papa Jackass in <3377230D.4EA3@express-news.net>
Alas, such claims are never backed up with actual debate. What we get
instead is ...
Society has no responsibility to make sure you can safely
screw around on your husband, MINXS. If you want to be a *****
and jump from bed to bed, why bother to get married?
Papa Jackass in <3495FB4F.C35ACEDE@express-news.net>
Once again, we see Mark proving that he is the stinkinest
***** on talk.abortion. Ray gives him a close run, but I'm
going to award the AH Award to Mark. He is a totally pathetic
excuse for a human being.
Papa Jackass in <3359AD8D.1EBA@express-news.net>
And then again those sort of insults followed with another pretense of
moral superiority.
Now if you want to play with the big boys and girls, clean up your
language, cut out the shock tactics, treat others religious beliefs
(or lack thereof) with reasonable respect, and try logic versus
bluster and noise.
Papa Jackass in <34F5F0C8.25EA0A32@geocities.com>
Which leads people to wonder which part of ...
Ah, I finally found how to get your attention. Guess I'll
have to call you Fuckface, *****, and limpdick more often,
Papa Jackass in <335483D4.3238@express-news.net>
Constitutes "reasonable respect". Who knows. Ethics and morality
seem to have no relevance to the world of Jackass.
Please note that I deleted a number of words in several of
Ray's statements without showing the editing. This, of
course, changed the meaning of what he said in a dishonest
and false way.
Papa Jackass in <3245F156.1BEF@express-news.net>
Sometimes he''l even demonstrate hypocrisy in a single sentence.
Gosh, Paul, I never pictured you as being into totally illogical and
overripe emotionalism -- or, are you just pandering?
Papa Jackass in <34B8534B.9E3D6A7D@geocities.com>
Sometimes he acts reasonable ...
You must do more than make edicts -- you must persuade with
logic, facts, figures, expert opinion -- you know, evidence
and "stuff" like that.
Papa Jackass in <31FBAD5A.526F@express-news.net>
Only to revert to a more typical behavior.
Second, why should I apologize for calling a ***** what
he really is. You and I both know Mark is one of the most
cold-blooded and vicious human beings on the newsgroups.
Papa Jackass in <336E66C7.7D89@express-news.net>
I am demonstrating for all to read that you are a toothless
*****. I am insulting you several times a day and there's not
a damn thing you can do about it but run around trying to
bluff me.
Papa Jackass in <33935ACD.5C32@express-news.net>
But there _is_ an explanation.
See, you just make up slurs like this out of whole cloth
and sling them around like mud and manure. You have no
basis for what you say, you just figure it will make
the Pro-[Choice] side look bad, so you say it. Can you
spell sleeze? How about crap?
Papa Jackass in <32019770.29AC@express-news.net>
I feel free to say you are STILL SPREADING DISTORTIONS AND
LIES. But what else is new?
Papa Jackass in <32019770.29AC@express-news.net>
Once again [Jackass] demonstrates that words like "integrity," "truth,"
"fairness," and "decency" have no place in his world. He, of course
is a total sleazebag who will say anything to smear his opponents.
