For out of chaos order arose. Only in chaos can you create order.

The real joke
introspection does not equal the wisdom of hindsight.
you don't need the picture to get it.

The real joke

As in atheism does not equal stupidity.
As in things are what they are but you have to find them somehow.
There is some correlation.
A picture is worth a thousand words only if its the right picture.
AS in you cant know everything.

As in the wisdom of hindsight we all do things a bit better.
Fools are always trying to see the picture and make the connection.
Words and pictures are very different things. Take away the picture and the
words hold up. Take away the words and the picture holds up.
Use the words presented.
If a picture comes to good.
The words should be enough.

I won't lie & say I knew them all off the top of my head - I had to
look some of them up. But it was an interesting exersize just the
same. You quote quite a flavorable assortment of intellects. :-)
Here are attributions for the quotes on your page - is this what you
meant by "trial 2"?:
1. "The unfinished is nothing": Henri Frederic Amiel.
2. "It is better to know nothing than to know what ain't so": Josh
Billings.
3. "If you do not think about the future, you cannot have one": John
Galsworthy.
4. "Expedients are for the hour; principles for the ages": Henry Ward
Beecher.
5. "A guilty conscience needs no accuser": Known to exist as an Olde
English phrase in the late 14th century, but is probably a translation
of an earlier latin proverb.
6. "In everything we ought to look to the end": Jean de la Fontaine
7. "Clean your fingers before you point at my spots": Ben Franklin,
though he only used the singular of finger.

No, I was responding to this thread. The quote "Science is organized
knowledge..." (etc) is Immanuel Kant. In another thread, you quoted
Marilyn vos Savant. I was simply commenting that I like her better
than Immanuel Kant. Ergo, my reply _involved_ that other thread, but
it wasn't made in reply _to_ that other thread.
