Ga. judge dies two weeks after being beaten by man his office prosecuted
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - A 74-year-old judge whose office prosecuted a man on
burglary and other charges years ago died Monday after a beating two weeks
ago at his law office at the hands of the same man, authorities said.
Murder charges will be filed in the death of Judge Glenn Thomas Jr., 74,
against Bobby Rex Stribling, who was released from prison in 2004 after
serving eight years for burglary, theft and other counts, officials said.
Stribling, 45, has been jailed since his arrest June 26 in connection with
the beating the previous day. It was unclear Monday night whether he had a
lawyer.
Stribling attacked Thomas in his law office, hitting him several times in
the head with a blunt weapon before taking his wallet and car key and
stealing his pickup truck, investigators said.
Thomas, a Recorders Court judge and attorney who served 30 years as district
attorney for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, died at a Savannah hospital.
Story continues
"We have obtained a murder warrant for Bobby Stribling," said Mike McDaniel,
an agent for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Wayne County Sheriff John Carter has said Stribling confessed to beating the
judge, but authorities have given no motive.
Authorities have declined to say whether they think Stribling sought revenge
against Thomas for his 1996 conviction. One of Thomas' assistant prosecutors
would have handled it, not Thomas himself, said Stephen Kelley, current
district attorney for the Brunswick circuit.

He's just satisfying that urge that most Americans get when they run
across one of you loudmouthed, ignorant limey trash. Unfortunately
stepping on you trash like the insects that you are is classified as
murder rather than vermin control.
Did you diddle yer gun when you spewed that ditty, eh nutter?

The original post was about a judge who got beaten to death

What none of the articles say is that that this judge deserved it.
The reporters don't say what kind of a judge this man was. I have heard
many stores about bad judges over the years and how this one runs his
courtroom. He had a reputation of being outrageous, biased, and wrongly
guiding the juries to find possibly innocent people guilty.
How many lives has his man destroyed.
It is only sad that it didn't happen to him many years sooner.
As the saying goes "Dead judges don't convict innocent people!"
