Two-headed baby dies after surgery
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) --An infant girl died Saturday after
surgery to remove a second head, her mother said.
A medical team completed the operation Friday evening but said 8-week-old Rebeca
Martinez had been susceptible to infection or hemorrhaging.
The baby died 12 hours after the surgery, believed to be the first of its kind.
The second head, which doctors said threatened the girl's development, grew from
the top of her skull and had its own partly developed brain, ears, eyes and
lips.
During the surgery, 18 surgeons, nurses and doctors had taken several rotations
to cut off the undeveloped tissue, clip the veins and arteries, and close the
skull using a bone and skin graft from the second head.

I find it tragic that the parents allowed her to be born in the first
place. Why would an omnibenevolent god give a soul to a child who he knew
(through omniscience) would be born with two heads?
Since the child had two brains does that mean she had one or two souls?

Really? Aren't you in fact exchanging the Christian God for
another.......that is the god Vic who could foresee the child would be born
with two heads even though the physician taking care of the mother didn't
know it, and then the god Vic could foresee that the child would die. How
about if she had lived?

Since the child had two brains does that mean she had one or two souls?

A child died. There are parents mourning the death of their little girl. You
use this tradegy for nothing more than taking cheap shots at Christians. So
much for your own omnibenevolence.

SL, you'll also note that religious bigots of Vic's stripe are very
quick to assign all evil and misfortune to the God of the Christians,
and just as quick to deny that this same God has anything to do with
the good, with all the other beautiful things which arise out of His
magnificent creation. Neat trick, huh? But that's the way these

I always find it amusing that some people who do not believe in a God waste
so much energy complaining about a God that they don't believe even exists
in the first place. It's downright absurd.

We don't find it amusing that xians are constantly trying to shove their
god fantasies down our throats, trying to force their superstitious
beliefs into law, and trying to get their ancient myths taught instead of
real science in our classrooms. If you would quit that *****, then we
wouldn't have much reason to talk about your imaginary gods.

Perhaps you should look up the original post. Do you really think a

Since the child had two brains does that mean she had one or two
souls?

A child died. There are parents mourning the death of their little
girl. You use this tradegy for nothing more than taking cheap shots
at Christians. So much for your own omnibenevolence.

But that's the way these
Christophobes play this game. Of course, you know that already. Chin
up, dear child. Vic's a scared little man. (Granny)

I always find it amusing that some people who do not believe in a God
waste so much energy complaining about a God that they don't believe
even exists in the first place. It's downright absurd.

We wouldn't have to waste so much time and energy complaining about a
mythical "god" if you religious loons wouldn't keee bringing it up in these
abortion-choice ngs. Your "god" has notbing to do with the abortion issue
so why can't you stop acting like it does. Take it back to the religious
or fanrtasy ngs and we will be glad not to discuss it any more.

That's right, sir, our God doesn't have anything to do with anything
anymore, which is why your crowd has slaughtered 40 million babies in
30 years, are now excusing partial birth abortions and making the same
excuses for infanticide, and will soon be doing the same with respect
to euthanasia. You're quite right, sir. And it's too bad for all these
dead babies that our God no longer has any say. What a wonderful world
you folks have given us. We shudder to think of what's next.

Abortion is legal, not mandatory. It is certainly not inconsistent to
advocate that abortion be legal while promoting more prophylactic forms
of family planning, like conception control.
People do other stupid, self-destructive things: They get into debt
beyond their ability to repay, and end up homeless...with their innocent
children. The solution: make credit illegal? I think not.
I am for PREVENTING pregnancies if favour of ABORTING them. I am also in
favour of safe abortion being available readily to those who want to
avail themselves of it. Let's ask ourselves who is standing between
young people on one side and sex education and condoms, pills, etc. on
the other...

Respectfully, Matthias, there is not a shred of evidence indicating
that sex education correlates with reduced rates of pregnancy amongst
teenagers. If anything, common sense suggeests that there would likely
be an increase given that it tends to give the green light to
teenagers to do it, but take precautions - which they wind up ignoring
in any case. Condoms, have a 20% failure rate, and considering the
consequences of failure here, that's a pretty grim statistic. You can
get better odds playing Russian Roulette. (Granny)

Two-headed baby dies after surgery

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) --An infant girl died Saturday

after

surgery to remove a second head, her mother said.

A medical team completed the operation Friday evening but said
8-week-old

Rebeca

Martinez had been susceptible to infection or hemorrhaging.

The baby died 12 hours after the surgery, believed to be the first of
its

kind.

The second head, which doctors said threatened the girl's development,

grew from

the top of her skull and had its own partly developed brain, ears,
eyes

and

lips.

During the surgery, 18 surgeons, nurses and doctors had taken several

rotations

to cut off the undeveloped tissue, clip the veins and arteries, and
close

the

skull using a bone and skin graft from the second head.

Don't know about religious fundies, but I find it tragic that the child
died.

I find it tragic that the parents allowed her to be born in the first
place. Why would an omnibenevolent god give a soul to a child who he knew
(through omniscience) would be born with two heads?

Really? Aren't you in fact exchanging the Christian God for
another.......that is the god Vic who could foresee the child would be born
with two heads even though the physician taking care of the mother didn't
know it, and then the god Vic could foresee that the child would die. How
about if she had lived?

Reading comprehension: try it today!

Since the child had two brains does that mean she had one or two souls?

the top of her skull and had its own partly developed

brain,

ears,

eyes

and

lips.

During the surgery, 18 surgeons, nurses and doctors had

taken

several

rotations

to cut off the undeveloped tissue, clip the veins and

arteries,

and

close

the

skull using a bone and skin graft from the second head.

Don't know about religious fundies, but I find it tragic that

the

child

died.

I find it tragic that the parents allowed her to be born in

the

first

place. Why would an omnibenevolent god give a soul to a child

who

he

knew

(through omniscience) would be born with two heads?

Really? Aren't you in fact exchanging the Christian God for
another.......that is the god Vic who could foresee the child

would

be

born

with two heads even though the physician taking care of the

mother

didn't

know it, and then the god Vic could foresee that the child would

die.

How

about if she had lived?

Reading comprehension: try it today!

Since the child had two brains does that mean she had one or

two

souls?

A child died. There are parents mourning the death of their

little

girl.

You

use this tradegy for nothing more than taking cheap shots at

Christians.

So

much for your own omnibenevolence.

Since Vic didn't claim omnibenevolence, your own pettiness is

shining

through. I see why they call you snout lady in arc.

A child is dead. I find it sick to use the tragedy of a dead child

to

vent

antiChristian hostility. If that makes me a snout then so be it.

But it's just fine to use the tragedy of a dead child to promote a
christian agenda.

What agenda is that?

Pick one. Any agenda using a dead child.

You first since you implied it is fine to use the tragedy of a dead child to
promote a Christian agenda. I am interested in learning exactly what agenda
you feel is being promoted by this child's death. I'm not even clear on how
the abortion group fits into this here, she was 3 months old.

BTW, two points for insistently missing the point.

Nice to meet you btw.

I'd return the favor if I thought you were sincere.

I don't even know you but apparently you feel that you know me.

I know *of* you; it's enough.

Really? What if someone told me that you were a child molestor? Would it be
fair minded of me to assume that is what you are because others told me it
is so? Personally I don't go for follow the group at all times mentality, I
at least try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and learn for myself
whether what I hear is true or not.

Wait a
minute, I get it now, I am a Catholic and you evidently hang out in arc.

Nope, I'm not going to let you use the old "you hate me because I'm
catholic" bit. I don't hate you because you're catholic, I hold you in
disdain because you're not worth more.

Yet you don't know me and only "know of me" Monkey see monkey do LOL.

Nuff said.

Two-headed baby dies after surgery

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) --An infant girl

died

Saturday

after

surgery to remove a second head, her mother said.

A medical team completed the operation Friday evening but

said

8-week-old

Rebeca

Martinez had been susceptible to infection or hemorrhaging.

The baby died 12 hours after the surgery, believed to be

the

first

of

its

kind.

The second head, which doctors said threatened the girl's

development,

grew from

the top of her skull and had its own partly developed

brain,

ears,

and

lips.
