The 10 commandments from the article:
1. You shall not kill.
*Haven't we already covered this?*
2. The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of
mortal harm.
*Um...ok*
3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen
events.
*Thanks, but I learned that in Driver's Ed.*
*Also, this isn't so much a commandment as an observation*
4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of
accidents.
*I'll remember this one if I ever run into the Popemobile*
5. Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an
occasion of sin.
*Got this one covered...I drive a '94 Volvo with 200k+ miles on it*
6. Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are
not in a fitting condition to do so.
*In other words..."Friends don't let friends drive drunk"...except less
memorable*
7. Support the families of accident victims.
*How about reduce the speed limit to 5mph and eliminate all accident-related
injuries*
8. Bring guilty motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate
time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.
*Yikes..that'll get you killed here ion Atlanta*
9. On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.
*You mean everyone else that doesn't drive a Hummer?*
10. Feel responsible toward others.
*And once I leave my car, I can forget this one? OK. Thanks!*
