Imagine once again, the arrogance of Jason Gastrich, who thinks that
posting to *his* site is a way for someone else to gain "fame."
Now, if the readers of alt.atheism would like to get an idea what

declared, last April, that he was "leaving Usenet" (even though he's

He claimed that he had debated Randi also. Randi did not remember the event
but it was true as I found the sound file. After listening to it, I
understand why Randi would not have remembered.

Jason does not know enough about the bible to be a judge of such a contest.
When challenged he will not only lie about what has been asked but will deny
the person ever asked the question.
After submitting childish notes from a survey class to "answer" my questions
he did just that.
Just before he "left" Usenet he said he would answer my questions, a switch
from his claims that I had never asked them, then less than 15 minutes later
denied I had ever asked them.
Jason has always thought the word he was to teach was me, me, me, ME, ME,

whitewash it and *****, and you get *no* opportunity to rebut. How
can they possibly lose?
The fact is there are glaring and numerous errors and a host of Bible

According to their own NT, Jesus was not buried in the 'heart of the earth'
for 'three days and three nights'. (Mt. 12:40)
I would add that if any fundie feels he or she has a reasonable answer as to
how you get 'three days and three nights' out of Jesus' death Friday
afternoon and the ridiculous assertion that he 'rose from the dead' sometime
before dawn on Sunday, please post it *here* for us skeptics to 'examine'.

Sorry to disappoint you mate, but Mt 12:40 Refers to Jonas being

Still, outright conflicting reports of Jeeber's final days are legion.

Well, part of Friday qualifies Friday as a whole day, then Saturday is

Well, part of Friday qualifies Friday as a whole day, then Saturday is
without question, and You got a little chip of Sunday, so that
qualifies Sunday as a whole day. Isn't fundie math cute?
But Sunday (and all days) did not start until the sun came up and even if
you allow it it is still just two nights.

Uh, noooooooo, mikey. If one day ends at sundown, then the next day starts
right after that, by definition. As an emergency mechanical technician (emt),
you better stick with ambulance brakes and leave discussions of God to those
that know, like me.
So Friday 3pm to 6pm is the first day (not 24 hours), Friday 6pm to Saturday 6pm
is the Sabbath, or day 2, and Saturday 6pm onward is the 3rd day. See how
simple that is.

What a great scam they have going there - you post your error, they
whitewash it and *****, and you get *no* opportunity to rebut.
How can they possibly lose?
The fact is there are glaring and numerous errors and a host of Bible
contradictions and their impossibly one-sided "cure" is never going
to hide them:

According to their own NT, Jesus was not buried in the 'heart of the
earth' for 'three days and three nights'. (Mt. 12:40)
I would add that if any fundie feels he or she has a reasonable answer
as to how you get 'three days and three nights' out of Jesus' death
Friday afternoon and the ridiculous assertion that he 'rose from the
dead' sometime before dawn on Sunday, please post it *here* for us
skeptics to 'examine'. And if you can't (or won't) please leave us a
message as to why you 'can't' or 'won't' submit your 'answer'. If you
don't respond, *this* 'challenge,' *this* particular atheist, I
believe, should get *exactly* 15 minutes of fame per your 'dropping of

That about sums it up!
But in fact, the claim was not that he would rise *after* three days,
but would rise *on* the third day.
Since Jesus was Jewish (and pretending for a minute that he isn't a
complete myth) and it was supposed to be him who claimed he would rise
on the third day, then Friday before sunset would be day one, Friday
after sunset through Saturday sunset would be day two, and Satuday
sunset through Sunday sunset would be day three, which is when the myth
has him rising. So either way, it was on the thrid day.
However, the three day claim was stolen from earlier mythology, and has
no reality to it other than that it met certain Kabbalistic
expectations, I presume.

Well, actually the OT suggested 3 days, but the NT clarified it as on the 3rd
day.
Since Jesus was Jewish (and pretending for a minute that he isn't a
complete myth)
Jesus, bud the dud, was born a Jew but gave us a new faith, one based not on
animal blood and written on stone tablets as the Jews professed, but one based
on his own Blood written on the hearts of man.

Bud the dud has risen from the ashes.

No theft to it. It was a projection of the future Messiah, and Jesus was he.

There's also the "You can't understand it until you are saved." argument.
This is frequently matched with "You can't be saved until you understand
it."

Quite possibly true.
The bible is irrational, vicious, inconsistent, lying, homophobic,
juvenile, long-winded, psychotic and ugly.
So, yes, duke IS what the Bible says!

That lot is more like a years worth of fame.
Challenge to theists - find a page in the Bible that doesn't have an error,
absurdity, or contradiction.
