This nonsense of expecting todays people to pay compensation for acts
committed many years past has to stop. Why should today's Oklahoma
taxpayer, most who probably have no roots dating to 1921, be expected
to foot the bill? The lower courts were correct; the Negroes seeking
reparations should have done so many years past, when the alleged
guilty persons were still around. To say somw witness has come foward
80 years later with new revelations is sour grapes. It's over, get on
with your life.

Survivors Of Tulsa's Race Riots Take Their Case To The US Supreme Court
Survivors of the 1921 Tulsa race riot, who want compensation from the
city and state, took their case to the US Supreme Court Wednesday.
Lower courts dismissed their lawsuit saying the statute of limitations
ran out years ago.
Attorneys for the 150 survivors say their clients didn't know the role
they say the city and state played in the deadly riot until just four
years ago.
