2 Timothy 3: 1-9. 6-3-2007. |
The Dangers Of The Last Days.
But understand this: there will be terrifying times in the last
days. People will be self-centered and lovers of money, proud,
haughty, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful,
irreligious, callous, implacable, slanderous, licentious, brutal,
hating what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God, as they make a pretense of religion but
deny its power. Reject them. For some of these slip into homes and
make captives of women weighed down by sins, led by various desires,
always trying to learn but never able to reach a knowledge of the
truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so they also oppose
the truth -- people of depraved mind, unqualified in the faith. But
they will not make further progress, for their foolishness will be
plain to all, as it was with those two.

The Dangers Of The Last Days.
Would this be the dangers of today's last days, or the last days
when this twaddle was written?
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so they also oppose
the truth -- people of depraved mind, unqualified in the faith.
Or perhaps the author was referring to the last days in Moses'
times.

Oh, this old pile of poo... the JW's are always spouting this one.
Basically you've got two problems here. The first is that these are
very general predictions. There can't be many points in history where
you could not read these and say "yes, that sounds like now."
Your second is that these are not the signs of the present. Where's
the mention of mobile phones? Television? The internet? Nuclear power?
The world's population passing 6 billion? Men walking on the moon? If
you had even one unequivocal prediction that could only apply to today
I'd be impressed. But so far I haven't seen any such thing, so I'm
not.

I don't care if you post in alt.atheism or not. I just think you look
very silly complaining about people in alt.atheism reading your
unsupported claims.
and if you do not like the truth then you should not read it and get

You have no evidence at all to support your religious claims. Your
