2 Timothy 3: 10-17. 6-4-2007. |
Paul's Example And Teaching.
You have followed my teaching, way of life, purpose, faith, patience,
love, endurance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me
in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra, persecutions that I endured. Yet
from all these things the Lord delivered me. In fact, all who want to
live religiously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But wicked
people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceivers and
deceived. But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and
believed, because you know from whom you learned it, and that from
infancy you have known the sacred scriptures, which are capable of
giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All
scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for
refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that
one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Warning Against Useless Disputes.
Remind people of these things and charge them before God to stop
disputing about words.

Nice cop out. If someone laughs at you because of your Belief in some
cloud dwelling Uber Fairy, it's ok, because your book of fairy tales
says you need to expect [sane]people to laugh at you. People who see
your Belief for what it is are wicked. The fairy stories say so.

Except science. Science and religion don't get along, do they,
padrepoopoo? And science supplies evidence for its finds. Don't you
wish your religion could do that?

I reckon that its all a matter of -when- you exepct that the evidence
will be found. There are a lot of scientific principles, that at the
time people were accepting them, could not really be proved.
I find that a lot of LDS teaching, aligns with scientific research and
theories... Of course, first you have to accept the LDS teachings, and
then it becomes easy to align with much of science. After all, the
Lord is the greatest scientist, of all time. :-)

How can you make that claim when you demonstrated that you don't understand
science in the first paragraph.
But perhaps I'm wrong. Rewrite the first paragraph or explain what you
actually meant when you wrote it to show me wrong.
As for accepting the teachings before they will align, well , that just
makes me believe you really don't get it.

It's apparent to me that the Lord is whatever the believer wants Him to
be. The Lord is always on your side, no matter how pious your enemy is.
He always approves of whatever the believer wants to do, whether it be
drowning one's children, or killing them in an illegal war.
Please, put the bagpipes away...
