Well, no. Take point 1, Christianity is based on fear. All religions
are built around fear of the unknown. The earliest sun-worshippers
feared the diminishing sun in winter, then celebrated its life-giving
return after the solstice. Uneducated man feared his environment before
he came to understand it - hey, volcanoes and earthquakes, hurricanes,
forest fires - these are scary events. Then there's the biggest fear of
all, death. The last great unknown.
Christianity is the last in a long line of pagan savior-god mystery
religions that attempt to fix the death thing, by claiming man is
immortal - even though he obviously is not. Depending on which version
you believe is the one true faith, faith is what is required since no
attempt to prove this claim is made. In fact, the fear of death, while
taken away, is replaced by fear of authority and retribution.
