2004: Moderates vs extreme right wingnuts? |
Clinton: Bush Using Gay Marriage To Cover Up Mishandling War & Economy
by Beth Shapiro

October 14, 2003
(New York City) New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton says the 2004
election will be a battle between the extreme right and moderate
Americans. In one of her strongest condemnations yet of the Bush
administration she blasted the President and the Republican leadership
for the direction it is taking America, likening it to a roll-back of
the clock to a time when "they didn't have to deal with women or gays
or anybody else."
In a 20 minute speech at New York Pride Agenda's annual fundraising
dinner Clinton warned that Republicans will attempt to use the
proposed Marriage Amendment to the Constitution to "try to drive
wedges between Americans."
She noted that the push for the amendment represents the first time an
attempt is being made to amend the Constitution to specifically deny
rights to any group of individuals.
In a speech frequently interrupted by applause, Clinton warned gays
not to discount the efforts of Senator Frist and others who are
supporting the amendment. Then, in a departure from her prepared
remarks, she said of those who like to use wedge issues like the
marriage amendment, "They have led our country miserably! They deserve
to be turned out of office and they're going to look for anyway to
stay in power!"
"If the Administration and their allies want to make a campaign issue
out of amending the Constitution we will not only stand against it but
we will point out that they'd rather talk about taking away rights and
undermining the ability of Americans to live their own lives, to have
their own families, than to talk about the miserable economy, to talk
about their miserable foreign policy, to talk about their role-back of
environmental laws and workers' rights, education and health care!"
She also told Pride Agenda supporters, "to be prepared for what we're
going to be facing next year and have a very clear idea that this is
part of a struggle about the future of America" and challenged
everyone to think hard about "What kind of America do you want to live
in?"
New York's other senator, Democrat Chuck Schumer, also launched a
broadside at conservatives, accusing the President of "loading up the
judiciary with right-wingers who want to turn the clock back to the
1890s." Schumer said America is under attack from "the hard right,
the mean people" and said, "They have this sort of little patina of
philosophy but underneath it all is meanness, selfishness and
narrow-mindedness."
To cheers, Schumer said, "We are standing in their way. We are a log
in their path! And we will not let it happen!"
Republican Gov George Pataki showed up at the dinner unexpectedly. In
a short speech he thanked the Pride Agenda for endorsing him last year
in his successful race for Governor and told the audience "There's
more to do" in New York State.
Receiving warm applause, Pataki noted the passage of the Sexual
Orientation Non-Discrimination Act (SONDA), a bill which he supported
and signed into law last December that made New York State the 13th
state to ban anti-gay discrimination in employment, housing, and
public accommodation.
The dinner raised almost $650,000 for the statewide organization's
nonpartisan gay civil rights advocacy work.

2004 will be the year of the ACME Anvil on the heads of Liberals. The
elections of 1996 in the House, 2000 in both the House and Senate butt
stolen by Jeffords, 2002 again and devastating defeat in Florida with Jeb
Bush, Katherine Harris and a sweep in Congressional seats.
The GOP sponsored bill to protect the institution of (natural affection)
marriage has a better chance of passing than Hillary's pledge to abolish the
Electoral College after President Bush was elected.
At no time was Al Gore EVER ahead in any liberal count in 'selected' Florida

The Clintons and Terry McGoofy are nothing Moderates what to associate with,
that's why 2004 will be the Anvil that rockz their inappropriate world.

That's why Bush had to throw 50,000 black voters off of
Florida's voter rolls.
Black voters vote Democrat upwards of 90% in national
elections. At a mere 10% turnout, Bush's racism cost Al
Gore more than 6,000 votes in an "election" that was
decided by a few hundred.
The NAACP sued Jeb Bush and the state of Florida over

Fine...we won't cry when the anvil fails to put any money in your
pocket. But as a good conservative, you'll be content with some flags to waves
and the promise from Jesus that in Catholic Heaven, Terry Schiavo will become
Mrs. CB and the two of you can be the devout couple that earns God's approval
and nothing else from Him.

I can understand why a undereducated, sleazy racist/homophobic dirtbag like you needs
