Wait'll next year or the one after that.
http://aiche.confex.com/aiche/2006/techprogram/P52714.HTM deals with
applying the thoery of evolution to the design of biological circuits.
I've yet to see a fundie who actually understands what a theory is.
Bible Bob's classic seems to be as good as it gets.
"A theory is a guess, speculation, abstract thought, a guess based on
some facts; but then facts are not truth so it is all about theory."
If they did understand, they would accept evolution.

You have it backwards. They refuse to accept evolution, therefore they
will not allow themselves to understand what a theory is. They already
know the "Truth", therefore any pesky data that contradicts their Truth
must be wrong.

I read it. But rather than weep, I laughed.
On the speciation link, what has occurred is that they have falsified
the claim that the two butterflies were "two different species." If you
take two so-called "different species" and succesfully interbreed them,
producing offspring that can also reproduce, you have just falsified
that they are two separate species.

This is a common refrain from the Religious Right. Nevermind that
religion is wallowing in bucks, and seeking more every day. Tell you
what, give up your tax exemptions for your religious activities, and
I'll forego my (nonexistant) grants. Deal?

No deal. How about you stop forcing Christian taxpayers to pay for the
teaching of evolution in public schools.
Maybe we could allow secular-atheist schools, who want to teach
evolution, to be funded purely by tax exemptions and atheist donations?
Then the playing field would be level.

OK, but once again, you pay taxes for your schools and I'll pay taxes
for schools that actually teach something. Of course, you still need to
give up those little deductions for "church donations" (tithes). Not
to mention the megabucks in property (wealth) owned by the churches.

I would be proud to have my children attend such a school, free from
the pervasive religion present in most Red State public schools. Once
again we are talking about the quality of education here. Same
conditions apply as above. Why should I pay taxes to subsidize your
perverted religion?

Why would normal Christians have a problem with the teaching of
evolution? The only Christians that have a problem with it are
fringe-element fundamentalist holy rollers, and they are only
Christians as a technicality, since they really worship themselves.

Maybe we could allow secular-atheist schools, who want to teach

Normal secular public schools, funded by everybody, not going by
anybody's theology, basically what we have now. Atheists that want
special atheist schools would have to start private schools of their
own. Then the playing field would be level.

The majority of Christians support teaching science in public schools.
It's ignorant hate-filled cult members such as yourself that are
horrorified that people are being well-educated.
It is every USA citizen's right to receive a basic education: you
desire to destroy that right, frankly, I find repulsive and demonic.

Maybe we could allow secular-atheist schools,

In the USA, all public schools are required by law, and common sense,
to be secular.

who want to teach evolution,

One cannot teach evolution: only god can do that. Perhaps you mean
"teach evolutionary theory."
Why the ***** should you separate the atheists from the thesists when it
comes to teaching evolutionary theory? Is it really your desire to keep
thesists ignorant and stupid?
And what about the millions and millions of theists (Christians in the
USA) who very much wish to learn evolutionary theory? What right have
*YOU* to deny them that fundamental right?

to be funded purely by tax exemptions and atheist donations?
Then the playing field would be level.

When is your cult going to stop sucking up tax dollars? When will your
cult stop forcing non-cult members to financially support it? Quit
being a deadbeat, pay for your own goddamned occultism your own damn
self and stop sucking at the public tit.

Joan Baez did this in the 60's she declared all her income, but refused to
pay a percentage.
The government came and got the money, along with penalties, etc.
She broke no law and held to the courage of her convictions.
Those christians who don't cheat on their taxes could do the same. Since the
percentage dedicated to the teaching of evolution is so small, the
government probably would make no effort to collect.
The christian would have made a statement, kept an extra dime or so and
could have given it to god.
As long as they didn't cheat on their taxes...
