This is not a J Young original but it is on the money.

21 Ways to be a Good Democrat
You have to . be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.
.. believe that businesses create oppression and governments create
opportunity.
.. believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are more of a
threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and
North Korean communists.
.. believe that there was no art before federal funding.
.. believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented
changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving
SUVs.
.. believe that gender roles are artificial, but being homosexual is natural.
.. believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
.. believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th-graders how to read is
somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
.. believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists, who
have never been outside of San Francisco, do.
.. believe that self-esteem is more important that actually doing something
to earn it.
.. believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 million of is on money to make The
Passion of The Christ for financial gain only.
.. believe that the NRA is bad because it support certain parts of the
Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of
the Constitution.
.. believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.
.. believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to
American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E. Lee and Thomas
Edison.
.. believe that standardized tests are racist but quotas and set-asides are
not.
.. believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and a very nice person.
.. believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere in history
that it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
.. believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a
sex offender belonged in the White House.
.. believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites, and
bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at
Christmas should be illegal.
.. believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the Chinese government is
somehow in the best interest of the United States.
.. believe that this message is part of a vast, right-wing conspiracy.

True. But we don't have to turn it into an opportunity for bureaucrats
and politicians to downgrade the quality of medicine that is delivered to
virtually everyone but the super-rich. That's what socialized medicine
does.
Then we are in a socialized system because that is what's happening. The
medical system is failing almost everybody but the rich. You can bury your
head in the sand all you want but everybody here is going to run into the
chaos eventually.
I know of a world class hospital that was the first choice of Presidents
and visiting heads of state if they were in need of medical care and in
the area, used to live not far from it. I won't mention the name because
it *is so well known. But I saw--over time--the ER turn into what looked
like a refugee camp.
Personnel shortages, equipment shortages, supply shortages. Sick and
injured people lining the walls. Not enough nurses to go around. It was
unreal.
The system is collapsing.
But don't worry. The rich will be fine. You, of course, are going to get
screwed.

I'm betting I'm a hell of lot more aware of how anybody who gives a damn
about patients and health is being driven out of the system. The goal is
profit, nothing else gets in the way now. The system *is collapsing.
People keep chanting "best in the world" but that's only because they
don't know what's going on.
Anyway, the *workers aren't the problem. The corporations *are. Fat fucks
that sit around on their asses ordering new yachts will drive us right
into third world status at this rate.
Well, you can go back to chanting "my money!" over and over again as you
do...

Uh - no you don't. You are too cheap to pay for a real health care

serious.
You expect the rest of us to pay for that.

Or how about if you're in an accident and go to the ER?

No dear - you only pay for your current medical bills that are paying
for the little stuff. Sooner or later, you will need much more and
you have every expectation of the rest of society paying for that -
unless you have a couple of hundred thousand stashed away?
Shame shame georgann - you will begger your husband in the process.

Why can't people pray away all the sickness in the world? Then we
wouldn't need health care at all.
Didn't your Jesus buddy say that if two or more true Christians
gathered together and prayed for something, then it would be done?
Either he was a liar, or no two *true Christians* have ever gathered
together and prayed for an end to sickness and the need for
healthcare.

Do non-believers give 10% of their income to help others? Or is this another
thing you think "taxpayers" should do?

Well, obviously they've failed. So I see no reason society can't step in
where you people have so blatantly flopped.
