29% of norwegians believe in god |
Faith in norway has been halved in the last 20 years. 29% of
norwegians now believe in a great bearded space pixie. Previous
surveys have shown that about 13,5% believe Jesus existed, and about a
quarter of them believe he was god's son. Less than one half percent
believe in punishment and the devil. 0/13 priests polled said they
believe in the devil.

Interestingly, in a country with a state church and 87% membership
(which is automatic) about 1% attend church annually. That is roughly
the same number as the number of muslims that attend mosque every
friday in a country where muslims make up less than 2% of the
population.
There also seems to be some competition about which is truly the most
atheist country in the world. I would nominate my own, norway.

So, with the lack of religious guidance, is crime rampant in Norway?
Are children being raped in the streets in broad daylight? Has your
(no doubt) liberal abortion policy caused Norwegians to lose all
respect for human life?
Or is the 29% still keeping you in check?

Yes and no. A few fractions of the population (muslim males from a
handful of countries) make up 38% of the gross and violent crime.
Eastern european organized crime and foreign nationals make up another
14%. Ethnic norwegians and non-muslim immigrants which make up 98.3%
of the population are reponsible for 48% of the crime. The prisons are
about half full of muslims as well, despite only 1/200 citizens being
a muslim male. That effectively makes (if we can generalize for a
moment) the average muslim something like... what...
4,5 million non-muslim people, 48% of the crime rate
100,000 muslims, 38% of crime rate
We also have roughly the same church attendeance on sundays as we do
mosque attendance on fridays which would suggest the average muslim is
also far more religious than the average norwegian...
I think the inevitable conclusion is that we are importing crime, and
we cannot blame social or economic factors because norway is a
socialist country, we have a national healthcare system, and frankly,
they have more rights than ethnic norwegians and others do. They get
the royal treatment when they come here. The only common denominator
is religion.
A survey of norwegian inmates also showed a disproportional ammount of
religious people. Something like 80% in a country that is essentially
71% atheist/agnostic.
Are children being raped in the streets in broad daylight? Has your
Actually yes. There is a new gang rape trend among muslim immigrants.
They abduct young girls and hold them captive, then gang rape them for
a few days before usually letting them go. There have been several
high profile cases in the last couple of years. One of them less than
1 kilometer from where I live where 4 somalians abducted a 14 year old
girl, chained her to the stairwell in their appartment and raped her
for several days.
Allah Akhbar! ***** be upon his prophet!
(no doubt) liberal abortion policy caused Norwegians to lose all
respect for human life?
Sadly, we have yet to adapt to the new realities here. Very few people
want to call a cigar a cigar and put on the table that immigration is
a huge problem in europe, which is far too tolerant and dosile to deal
with the problem. New York Times calls it "Crime without punishment".
For murder for instance, you would be expected to serve about 7 years
in prison. One man today who was convicted for 36 burglaries was
sentenced to 4 years. He's previously been convicted to 4 years for
200 previous burglaries.
Socalled hypercrime is a huge growing problem here. There's a
tremendous discount if you commit a large number of crime. The maximum
penalty is 21 years in prison, but is virtually never applied. The
emphasis is on rehabilitation.
The UN refugee program and global asyl policies are a joke. It's
nearly impossible to integrate heroine addicted child soldiers who
have murdered and eaten their enemies for racial differences into a
western, white, modern society. Likewise it's impossible to integrate
a bunch of religious nuts into a super-secular society. And socalled
asylumseekers have been proven to be about 99% on false grounds. Not
to mention that they travel through dozens of safe countries to arrive
in a rich and prosperous country they know will care for them.
Or is the 29% still keeping you in check?
It's a sham. I know I paint a gloomy picture, but it's going to get a
lot worse before it becomes better. Secular societies are being
threatened by tiny minorities of religious fundamentalists.

Thanks for the report. It could be worse. In the US we have a
Christian society that is threatened by a tiny minority of religious
fundamentalists. Not only are we oppressed by religious nuts, but the
atheists are blamed.
