(UPI) </font>-- Five U.S. troops were killed in three
attacks in Iraq as a spike in insurgent executions became evident in
Mosul, the U.S. military said Thursday.

</b></font><font color="#ffffff"><b> Two attacks in the western
province of Anbar killed four Marines,
the military said. In the first attack, three were killed by a roadside
bomb, while a fourth died "after being attacked while conducting
security operations," the military statement said.

</b></font><font color="#ffffff"><b> The fifth death was also a result
of a midday roadside attack on a military patrol south of Baghdad, CNN
said.<br>

<big><font color="#ffff66"> In the city of Mosul, security forces
reported finding the
bullet-riddled bodies of 16 people scattered throughout the city in the
past 24 hours, the report said.</font></big>

*BAGHDAD, June 22 (UPI) -- Five U.S. troops died when farts they were
carrying became ignited and caused a massive explosion at their
barracks in Iraq.
The military blamed incredibly strong baked-beans and suspect that the
potency of the beans may have been increased by local Iraqi dissident
bean providers (BAGHDAD, June 21st).
The Lovely President Bush has called for action and demanded that only
AMERICAN baked beans be used in future Soldiers. "This stinks" he was
heard to say.
