I agree; *if* he's proved guilty, he should go.

Because never before in the history of the CIA has

Not by any Democrat. Not by any Republican. It simply never
has happened before. Not before Bush.
Plame "worked for" a CIA front company. She & that

There is no "too far" for Fred. He'll continue to spin and lie in order to
try and defend his right-wing masters. Fred's allegiance is to them, not to
his country.
But anyway, you've raised good questions. The CIA brought this matter to
the Justice Department after their own investigation, so obviously they felt
that what happened was wrong (to put it mildly). I am disgusted by it all.
All these bastards care about is power and their own political survival.

Seems the Bushies don't care much about "flip-flops" when it's their man

There never were flip flops on the dem side. It was just sound bites
meant for people who can't or won't think.
Classic dysfunctionalism, or rather corruption propaganda is all that
was - the repubs flip flop as a matter of policy.

From the subject line, I infer that 25% say Rove should NOT go if
guilty. Who in hell are these 25%? Where did they find them, and how
did we get stuck with them?? How do we get rid of them? What the *****
kind of justice are we talking about here? Guilt carries no punishment
despite what Bush said about firing anyone who commits a crime? How is
he going to explain that being guilty of what is a federal crime does
not make someone guilty of committing a crime? I can hardly wait to
hear the spin on this one.
If it was you or me, it's off to jail we go.

well, look at your source... ABC!!!! Perhaps one of the most liberal
bias based news station around..Much like FOX is most conservative.
What ever the case... I'am a republican not a fundemental extremist and
I agree... IF MR. ROVE HAS COMMITED A CRIME AND HAS INTENTIONALY AND
DELIBERATLY LEAKED A CIA OPERATIVE... then yes he should be fired....
However, there is still an investigation in process to find out exactly
what happened. Think about it... Would MR. Rove surrender his
confidentiality with out knowing what could happen to him if he did
leak info... I think not...
So my opinion wait and see, then we can deside what happens to MR. Rive

Okay, want another source?
Pew Research Center for the People and the Press:
Should Karl Rove resign?
Resign: 39%
Stay on: 23%
Unsure: 38%
Karl Rove is:
Guilty of a serious offense: 32%
Not guilty: 23%
Unsure: 45%
What ever the case... I'am a republican not a fundemental extremist and

So, you agree with the ABC News poll, but wanted to get your jab in on
what you think is a "liberal media?" Doesn't this sound a little
hypocrtical to you?

So, basically, you agree with the ABC poll, but wanted to attack them
for being "liberal" anyway.
Remember, here is how the ABC poll was put forth:
"If investigators find that Rove leaked classified information, do you
think he should or should not lose his job in the Bush Administration?"
You are a republican and you said that he should be fired. Therefore,
you are part of the 71% of Republicans that the ABC poll that said the
very same thing.

hypocrtical to you?
However, there is still an investigation in process to find out exactly
what happened. Think about it... Would MR. Rove surrender his
confidentiality with out knowing what could happen to him if he did
leak info... I think not...
So my opinion wait and see, then we can deside what happens to MR. Rive
Who cares? It's not as if public opinion is worth anything.

suggests indifference at best, collusion at worst.

Exactly. It is doubtful Rove would have taken this action without
consent from higher ups and without some insurance that he would not be
prosecuted for doing so, since it was clearly an act of treason.
So my opinion wait and see, then we can deside what happens to MR. Rive

LOL - who told you that - someone at Fox?

He should be sent to jail for treason. What's the matter - got cold
feet?

So the reporter saying that Rove said the name and brought it up to
reveal it means nothing to you?
Rove did it for nasty political gain as has been his trademark for his
entire political life. Do anything, no matter how illegal and how
unethical for politics. You'd have to be the epitomy of naivity to
miss that.
What makes you think anyone in that administration wants to make
themselves look bad by really investigating Rove? Or to do it with
any reasonable speed? What do you bet they just won't see a reason to
see any evidence?

Not especially, given that her name and her employment at the CIA was
not a secret.

I see you've already got your excuses ready if the prosecutor does not
indict Rove.

Political correctness is a form of moral and emotional blackmail
whereby if you call a spade a spade you must
a) apologize to the spade,
b) if you live in the US, take a sensitivity training course, or
c) if you live in Old Yurp, you are taken to court for defamation of the
aforementioned spade.
