<bashful grin>
That was the question I asked my instructor last year, *before* I took
the class. I figured, 'OK, there's C, and C+ would be D, and another
plus would be E. If I recall rightly, there *was* a C+, wasn't there?
Just did a quick look on google & someone's offering a C+++. And C #
(sharp), and Objective C, and who knows what other C-mutants there are
out there. Really, guys, it's *ok* to use new letters.

Sheesh!

Might as well start using Roman numerals if they have to add more plus
signs. Or use C, C+, C2+, C3+, etc.

B.t.w.: I've never heard of C+. There was something like "C with classes",
which was the predecessor to C++. D exists, of course, don't know about E.

Yup. Or sub- and superscripts, like C_2, C^3. Or just multiples Cs:
CC, CCC. Or something more in the functional programming style, like
inc C, inc (inc C), inc (inc (inc C)), foldl (+) C (repeatn 4 1) ...
No need for other letters at all.

Or would it parse as (C+)++, after which the compiler complains?
Anyways, incrementing C is done _after_ evaluation of the expression, so

Ah, but *I* have an antidote song! Every time I get one of those stupid
songs/jingles stuck in my head, I sing "All We Are" by Warlock to
myself. The stupid song/jingle runs off whimpering.
