A Couple More Holy Fools |
A couple in the Sacramento/Roseville area find meaning in their lives as
Bibleman and Biblegirl.

The best quote in the article is from "Biblegirl":
"I'm trying to reach girls, so it's important that they have someone
they could relate to."
Regards,
Josef
The probability that an idea is false is directly proportional to the
fanaticism of its advocates.

I liked the statement, "It's one of the most coveted copyrights in
Christian retailing." Gee, aren't there supposed to be commandments about
not coveting :) ????

It's probably covered under "causa justa", which allows for the
commission of some misdemeanors (eg: Crusades) for the purpose of
perpetuating the meme.

What harm would it do if a man told a good strong lie for the sake of
the good and for the Christian church, ... a lie out of necessity, a
useful lie, a helpful lie, such lies would not be against God; he would
accept them.

It's suddenly so clear. Why Irony-O-Meters explode. Luckily, my new
Meter is on order. I hope it didn't explode and take down a black
helicopter.

A more accurately description of bibleman's power would be that he "tells
lies faster than a speeding bullet" and "leaps over logical
contradictions in a single bound".

Yes, but that would make the bible the single lamest marvel comic book of
all fricken time :) Heck, most bibles don't even have pictures in them.
