A 'Forgiving' God? |
I have yet to hear a *single* 'reasonable' religious right answer to the
question: Why couldn't (make-believe) 'God' have said seven simple words
upon discovering that A&E had succumbed to that supernaturally evil created
liar and deceiver, 'Satan', without 'God' intervening and 'protecting' the
incredibly vulnerable pair from imperceptible deceit and treachery?
Oh, the seven words: 'Don't despair, you two! I forgive you'.

You failed to address that mighty important point about (make-believe) 'God'
permitting the two to be unfairly 'hoodwinked' by a supernaturally evil
creature (make-believe) 'God' created and who failed to 'protect'. On top of
that, A&E hadn't a clue as to what lying or a deceiving liar were -- *until*
it was too late. Gee, what a crappy 'God' God is shown to be here. And where
do you get the idea that the two 'showed no remorse' for being treacherously
deceived? They covered themselves up with fig leaves out of shame, didn't
they?
And what in the hell was so *wrong* in being 'naked'? Offensive to the deer
and the antelope, was it?

For goodness sake, duke.. they didn't tell God anything - it's mythology.
You're a bit slow on the uptake, aren't you?

If you have read many of dukes posts it is quit obvious he is living in a
world of myths and fables
and totally lost touch with reality.

They didn't tell him no, they ate an apple (go read the bible again) and
they didn't get the chance to show their remorse.

The bible doen't mention what type of fruit it was.
Sorry, but I thought you should know.

Exactly where does the "apple of the knowledge of good and evil" come
from then?

Not the bible, that's for sure.
It may be that you have a very poor translation, full of editorial
additions.
Ditch it immediately and get a decent one.
Or perhaps actually READ the one you have at hand!
The word used throughout Genesis is the Hebrew "pariy" {per-ee'},
which simply means fruit, in the sense of 'offspring'.

I still haven't heard an explanation of why he put the silly tree in the

something happens, we prosecute the parent, not the child...

Say what you like about jahweh, he is head and shoulders above the
rest when it comes to setting up "gotchas." I much prefer the greek
gods: they wandered around looking to get laid and all the villages
sent up the smoke of the sacrifices to propitiate them in hopes they
would look somewhere else.
These are called "the good old days."
