A LOVING GOD |
More evidence of no loving God.
Researchers have recently learned why the 1812 Spanish Flu virus was such
an effective killer. The 1812 flu pandemic killed 50 MILLION people and
unlike
other pandemics it took a huge toll of the young and healthy. ( of all
religious persuasions!)
Research has determined that the cause of this vicious killing of millions
of innocent youth was the fact that the virus set off a "cytokine" storm, a
sudden surge of
immune response chemicals that flooded the lungs with blood and mucous
drowning
the infected in their own body fluids.
That is why the young were more susceptible because their immune responses
were so strong killing them in the process.
Is this evidence of an all caring all loving God??? No, it is further
evidence that no Gods actually exist unless they are mean tyrants the enjoy
punishing the innocent.

It's a natural result of being infected by a particular, perfectly
natural, virus.
More evidence of no loving God.
Not really. Keep trying, though!

Do you ever read about those terrible epidemics
that strike our world, from time to time.
If you did, you would have probably have noticed that the highest
mortality rate, is among the very youngest. The innocent.
Are you qualified to judge?
He is an atheist, and presumably, one capable of both reading, and

It is reasonable to assume that he has done both, and is now

Questioning is not judging, but your outbursts, are.
You couch an accusation, in a question: When did our Lord ever do
that?
But if that is the rules of the game, allow me to ask a question: Are
you qualified to call your self, "Pastor"?

How does it follow that the Creator who "creat[ed] the universe" must
also have fashioned every single lifeform on a planet that wouldn't
even exist for another 15 billion years (give or take)?
I don't posit that God fashioned the Earth and each lifeform as per
the biblical Creation Myth. You should understand the story for what
it is, rather than base your unbelief on its supposed reality.

That's logical only when based on one particular assumption. There are
other models. The Christians codex specifies, that God not only created us,
but keeps us in being. Meaning, that creation is a continuous process.

This is true, but let's try to keep it as simple as possible!
The Christians codex specifies, that God not only created us,

That is a possible understanding, though I don't necessarily subscribe
to it. I don't think creation is a "continuous process".

More evidence of no loving God.
Not really. Keep trying, though!

I thought your loving god created the whole Universe and everything in it.
Why did he create a virus that kills millions of mostly innocent people?
How does it follow that the Creator who "creat[ed] the universe" must
also have fashioned every single lifeform on a planet that wouldn't
even exist for another 15 billion years (give or take)?
I don't posit that God fashioned the Earth and each lifeform as per
the biblical Creation Myth. You should understand the story for what
it is, rather than base your unbelief on its supposed reality.
Isn't that what you just did?
Quite so. I understand what the biblical creation myth is and why it
is that way. I don't base my belief on that or any other story. I
might be missing something in Bill's questioning, but it seems that he
is basing his understanding and his disbelief in these very stories.
