Object: A man of compassion
I wonder when he'll get around to meeting with a few of the American
families who've lost loved ones in Iraq.
"President Bush said yesterday that he would meet the families of
British soldiers who have been killed in Iraq during next week's
state visit. He also made it clear that he would do his best to
bolster the prime minister's political standing at the same time."

How could Blair's political standing be boosted by Bush?
Hmm...
Looks like Blair is going to kill Bush. Great! Nice one Tony.

I wouldn't worry about it. Blair has weathered other storms. His only
fears would be from within his party.

BwaHaHaHa..... Tony Blair needs Shrub's support about as much as he needs
another middle eastern war. I should think the PM will be hoping that the
president will just keep his mouth shut and go away as quickly as possible.

"deadly thing" as proof of their faith and devotion?

The quote does justify reducing benefits, though. No need for
a medical staff or field hospitals. Just have the chaplains
go around laying hands on the sick. Surely that includes
people who've been invaded by bullets or shrapnel. And
there'd be no need of VA Hospitals, as all the war related
injuries would have been healed and any new disease contracted
by a vet could be dealt with by sending the elders of the
church and some olive oil (James 5.14-15).
I should add, James does not specify what kind of oil, but
when I was growing up, every pulpit in a "real Christian"
church had its little bottle of olive oil, and a dot of it
would be placed on the forehead of anyone who requested prayer
for a health issue. Preachers usually carried it with them
when they visited the sick, too. I believe that when I was in
high school and working in a grocery store I still believed
the olive oil we stocked was used for prayer and the fact that
it moved so slowly had to do with the fact that you only put a
small amount on your finger to anoint someone.

John Ashcroft uses Crisco. Olive oil is expensive - we could save
money with Crisco,

No. I'm sure they'd stand by and watch a heathen

Nah - this is just another vehicle for you to spew your projected self-

Who cares if he's a humanitarian, I'd be happy if soldiers who were injured
would get their benefits. That would be a good place to start.
They want people to believe all soldiers are happy to serve their country and if
asked would return to Iraq for another tour. Well, not anyone my neighbors' son

every day he fires his weapon. He's scared ***** and can't wait to get out of
